Worse riding car I’ve ever owned.
I absolutely love my C63S coupe as it’s the most fun to drive MB I’ve owned and I’ve had five AMG’s. But, it has got the harshest, noisiest, squeaky rattle ride of any car I’ve ever owned. I rode in my friends Jeep Wrangler the other day and was surprised at how much smoother and quieter it was than my C63. A JEEP WRANGLER for crying out loud! Seriously, they couldn’t have made comfort mode really comfortable? Thirty series tires don’t help for sure but it seems they could have softened the suspension up in comfort mode a lot more since we still have sport and sport +.
Off topic but wanted to share. Got into a little race with a Ferrari GTC4Lusso, (hatchback Ferrari), yesterday. They claim 650 hp but he only got me by a fender and I’m factory stock. Time for a tune.

By the way... Wouldn't you EXPECT a Wrangler to have softer ride than a sports sedan? Our cars are meant to have minimal body roll and short suspension travel.. A wrangler is suppoosed to be wobbly and soft with huge suspension travel... O_o

My C63s sedan suddenly started riding really rough. Discovered a sensor on one of the back suspension components had a bad contact which caused the car to suspension to be locked in sport + mode. After dealer finally repaired the ride is wayyyy smoother. The display indicated suspension in comfort but the suspension button was locked in the red light on mode.

My car rode like **** on stock suspension, no difference between comfort, sport, sport +... Car rode a hair better but still trash on bags, and it still rides like *** on kw v3s.. Super harsh, very unforgiving, and extremely stiff no matter how I mess with the dampening.
I've just come to accept it as it is
Its pretty much what happens when you have such stiff and solid bushings and whatever else throughout suspension components.

the comfort level on the wagon is great. it was stiff when I first bought it but after running it in and a few k miles in, it rides like a dream. I do have to firm it up sometimes for more spirited curvy roads as those still springs make the body feel a bit too soft and bouncy on uneven roads.
The coupe does have a completely different suspension so maybe it is as hard as nails. I've only driven the saloon and wagon.

Sedan too....... harsh a bit in comfort, then harsher in sport and worse yet as we go up the scale. I remember my 1967 Austin Cooper 1275 S with a hydrolastic suspension so still it would jar your butt crossing a white traffic line in the road.

I have switched to KW HAS spring and adjuster kit on our Sedan and Cabriolet. Even lowered, springs and ride comfort are far superior to stock.

Sorry for the misunderstaning. i was replying to the OP who has a coupe . Point is , I've driven a lot of cars with a harsher suspension. For example have you driven the M4. It seemed firmer to me all the time .

Interesting thread. So I just picked up a new C63 this weekend and am coming out of a 2016 M3. I can tell you without a doubt the C63 rides much much smoother than my M3 did. It is also much quieter as well. The ride quality was a major factor in my decision to move away from the M3/M4.

What are you running for tire pressure?? Don't use the numbers on the Jam as they are wrong. Use the pressure numbers on back of gas door. Makes big diff.

Not. Every Jeep I’ve ever been in rides just like you’d expect with its stone age suspension, oversized wheels, tires and lift kit.

If you are coming from an e63s and an s63 assuming both are sedans those cars also weigh more and have different suspension setups as they are built more towards the luxury side for businessmen and travel...The c class esp the coupe is built to go against the only other real challenger in it's class which is the m4 which performs better on the track and is much lighter than the c63s. The 2019 c63s coupe is supposed to challenge that with all the changes and to be a little more comfortable thanks to some suspension changes and dynamic engine mounts and some new software. Allowing the car to put power down better while at the same time making the car more comfortable. It now has the AMG Ride Control for the 2019 refresh from the gtr Per Mercedes:
- AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive adjustable damping for increased safety and comfort
