Some insight appreciated

Hey all, New to the forums and appreciate all the informative posts and knowledge of the members.
I am currently coming out of a 2016 C450 sedan lease this month and had ordered a 2019 C43 sedan back in September with an MSRP of just over 70k, Intention was to lease that car as well. My SA recently informed me that the car would most likely not arrive before mid February which was much longer than expected. I could extend my current lease until that car arrives so no issue there. I am however very strongly considering a C63s cab instead. Definitely a dream car of mine and I figure the cab (vs coupe/sedan) would be a fun car for me and the family to enjoy. I should note there are two other cars in my family but this would mostly be a daily driver with a small commute to work. I would purchase the C63s due to rough lease rates which would put me close to the same price as financing.
I have to assume that the C63s will be more fun to drive vs the 2019 C43 but is it that big a difference for day to day driving or are the two cars relatively close with regard to the enjoyment factor? Also, will the car (C63) be manageable as a daily driver in the Northeast where I live? Lastly, does it make sense to order the 2019 C63s or look for a good deal on a 2017-2018? Does the facelift model warrant the extra cost or are the pre facelift models that close in looks/performance? I have been reading that the exhaust note and styling on the 2019 C63s might not be as aggressive sounding/looking as the pre facelift.
Any help and insight into these few questions would be much appreciated and certainly help me to make my decision. I have watched and read every review on the models but hands on experience (at least pre-facelift) from the owners of these cars is much more valuable information. Thank you in advance.

IMO they are definitely not close with regard to the enjoyment factor. I have a C63 S Coupe and it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it even though its a pretty stiff ride. the exhaust sound though more than make up for any shortfall. I have driven my friends C43 a couple of times but I never got the same enjoyment factor.

I use mine as a daily driver too here in Toronto. A set of winter tires and rims are gonna cost me at least $3000 so im still debating if I should do that or just get a winter beater for the same price.

As far as the 2019 vs 2017 goes, think about whats the most you want in the car and see which one has it... for me it was the AMG sound and if that roar is gone in the 2019 then I would def not go for it.

I'm in the same boat as you. Although my debate was between the E53 vs the C63 but pretty much decided on a C63s. I've been reading that a decent set of winter tires will do the trick for the car, need to research if I need new rims as well as I was going to do the stock 19's.

2018 C63 Cabriolet
2018 C63 Cab

I have a 2018 C63 Cab and like untamedd, I smile every time and I get into the car. When the top is down, that smile goes ear to ear. I am in South Florida, so I certainly get more use of the convertible than you will in the northeast. But I use it as my daily driver as you intend to do and couldn't be happier. I definitely think you will enjoy the extra power of the C63 (especially if you go with the S variant), and the convertible is a totally different experience. Surprisingly, the convertible is not as loud inside as you would think. I previously had a 911 cab and that car was very noisy. The C63 is just awesome. I would expect that dealers would want to get rid of any left over inventory, so there may be some deals to be made there but have no anecdotal evidence. I bought mine before the '19s were announced. Good luck.

18 Benz C63
Sounds like the dealer forgot to put your order in. There are some already sitting at the VPC just waiting for Benz to release them. I was led to believe they'll be released mid end of next month along with the other amg vehicles.

If you do change your mind the C63 is a different animal. I have the 63 and g/f has the 43. When I drive hers it feels sluggish compared to mine and by no means is it a slow.

Good luck with your decision.
