From what I can tell, It took 19 days. It was scheduled to ship on 10/19 and arrived in port on Nov. 6/7. I was expecting it at the dealer by Nov 15th, but they're telling me that MBUSA won't release them until Nov. 30th for EPA approval. I assume I'll see it a week or so after that. I honestly didn't expect to see it until around xmas so I'm not too disappointed about the hold. This also gives me more time to figure out how to pay for it when it does arrive.

I ordered mine in August (C63S sedan), build date was November 2nd, according to dealer it's being built in Georgia here in the states? I got Vin this last week and completed purchase on Thursday. He told me it's due for delivery first week of December fingers crossed.

Also I have a question, if it's built here in the states does the engine still have the AMG standard "1 engineer hand built rule"?

You might get it sooner as mine was delivered in CA 2 weeks after it was built.

Just got good/bad news on allocation... I got allocation for my entire build minus the 12.3" digital digital cluster for early feb..Apparently it is still delayed.. So now they have to tell Mercedes no I'll wait...Sucks.. I hope production gets ramped up asap. They don't know how long the wait will be. I ordered mine on 9/5... I hope Mercedes gives some kind of idea.. At least I won't have to get snow tires right away.. lol

My c63s coupe is at the port in Germany waiting to be assigned a ship. Yah now that’s what I’m talking about!

My dealer is still sticking with the beginning of December* for my delivery, despite me telling him about all the delays. He said he checked again and no delay.... Hope he's right

That sucks. Thought MB was sensible including the AMG Dive Unit and performance exhaust standard on the S models. But, looks like they underestimated the demand for the digital cluster or they ran into production issues. Thought it should’ve just been standard, too.

hopefully, won’t be too much longer for you, but I would’ve definitely waited, also.

Yep, I hear MBUSA is expecting to release those in port on Nov 29th so that they can get their revenue from the dealers before the end of the month. Dealers aren't happy because they won't get theirs until December. No matter to me. As of yesterday I was told that MBUSA would release my c63s on Nov 29th and that I should have it around a week later. ....

Great news for my car.. My dealer went back at Mercedes with my order and said I want to wait for the 12.3" Digital cluster and they said no problem.. 10 day wait... lol.. So instead of last week in February it's first week of March build so I should get it the end of April they said.

Only hiccup is the amg crest projector as it isn't available yet but they said I could add it after I get the car.

Just put a deposit down on my sedan 😁. Dealer said most likely a late Feburauy early March build. Ended up putting $2,000 down and got $2,500 off the $87,500 tag.

Congrats and welcome!!! My dealer almost forgot to add the performance seats.. lol...If I didn't catch it and it came in I prob would have rejected the car because the performance seats are more comfortable for my back strangely enough.. I have a really bad back so the right seat is crucial for me.

Hey guys, would appreciate your thoughts on this. I put down a deposit for a sedan back in July. Dealer ordered my exact spec for a car due mid December but wasn't able to get carbon fiber trim and ordered with Black Ash wood. As of right now, they still have no additional allocations yet but are expecting the next round in February.

Struggling right now to decide if I should pick up the the black ash trim. It's been growing on me but I'm not sure yet.

Honestly don't think you'll be disappointed either way.

I’m a cf addict.. I couldn’t do it without it. I’m sure they have it available now.. it was only a 10 day delay for me for a digital cluster.. I would ask again on the cf trim if you haven’t asked since July.

When mercedes gives your dealer allocation for your spec have them request cf and they should tell you how long the delay is and then you can decide if it’s worth it for you.

Black Ash is the better choice as it does not look bad with fingerprints right away. Its dull finish looks great.

Seriously that's going to come down to your own personal/best choice others are always going to speak for themselves which will most likely be a different opinion, don't get swayed go for whichever you know you want the most.

In my case I know exactly what I want, it has to be that or nothing regardless of wait time

This analysis might make you feel a bit better...

I’ve more than once seen defects in the fiber weaves both in the carbon fiber trim pieces and in the fiberglass trim pieces. The trim pieces on the C-class are quite large, so any imperfection will stick out like a sore thumb and might drive you mad. The black ash might be a blessing in disguise.

The imperfections in the fiber weaves on Mercedes trim pieces are real. Porsche and Ferrari execute this perfectly in the cars. Mercedes is still a bit behind.

Interesting.

The panorama roof is now a $1,000.00 option?

Or, it is different from the glass roof which was standard on 2018's?

I can't see where they could fit much more glass area on the current roof.

standard on the coupe and option on the sedan in the US.. in Europe I believe it is an option for both the sedan and the coupe

Pardon me for splitting hairs, but does that intend to include the S models? The model codes indicated seem to specify the non-S C63 variants.
