So I've got the 2017 C63s (red calipers) and just got some porterfields (F+R) from the local dealer.
Took them to get them installed and left the car there for the day. Got a call later saying they haven't done it yet since they think it's the wrong brakes and it looks like it won't fit because they didn't want to charge me for not installing brakes if it didn't fit. See attached photos. Are these the correct rear brakes?
Also had the car serviced the other day and was asked the usual up sell questions, did you want new brakes/tyres/wheel alignment. Told them no since I was really going to get them done anyways then got told my the AMG service rep that only MB can align the rear wheels. Is this total BS?
Also anyone from Australia manage to get Pilot 4s? Got told it's a 12 week wait for them. Can't wait that long so may just end up getting the Super sports.
this is what mine looked like also and I only did the rears no rings----the number was 1669 and I ordered directly from Porterfield.
I would call them direct and ask as they are very knowledgeable on phone.
So got them fitted and it does fit. Mechanic said there was space for those rings to fit in but looks like the space wasn't made for those rings to fit? Weird.
Can you please show me where that thread was about the rear RS4 brakes pads with and without the bumped circle extensions welded on the outer pad?
Did they later remove them from later inventory, since Porterfield's current website diagram for that AP1669 RS4 pad doesn't show those circled bump outs.
