Aero in Combination With Carbon Fiber Packages US spec
Finally got some info from an amg specialist through my dealer with a detailed response...
Looks like we finally have some clarification here in how the Aero Package jives with the two Carbon Fiber Packages. Please see details below…
First including the details for B28, 773, and B26 just for good measure here…
B26
· Front splitter in high-gloss black
· Inserts for the side skits in high-gloss black
· Performance spoiler lip in high-gloss black for more downforce
· Additional side air vents in the rear apron in high-gloss black
· Aerodynamically optimized diffuser in high-gloss black
B26 can be ordered in combination with 773 and B28, which means…
· The a-wing in the front apron remains carbon fiber, while the more expressive spoiler lip of B26 remains high-gloss black…
· The carbon fiber side skirts are replaced by the more aggressive ones from B26, so they come in high-gloss black (therefore 773 has a lower price in conjunction with B26)…
· The carbon fiber insert in the rear apron remains in carbon (red marks), the aero-diffusor is being put on top of it, but you still can see a lot of carbon…
· If you order B26 and B28, then the more expressive rear spoiler comes in carbon, and so do the exterior mirror housings

Thanks for the info. That essentially confirms the pictures from the European unveil. Any information on the lower price of 773 in conjunction with B26? While I still had 773 and B28 on my build, the price for 773 wasn't lower. Is this new information now reflected in the system the dealers use to build the car? I had both 773 and B28 removed from my build for now and have kinda warmed up to all those parts being gloss black, but I'm still considering adding them back.

Wish I could get the pictures uploaded that were supplied in the email but the descriptions laid out really explain it well.

I added the aero today so the only option I don't have is the Carbon Ceramic brakes.. I will see what the updated build sheet says and yes I requested standard options too so a full build sheet as they are resubmitting my order with the Aero. I should have it later today.

I don't have a full shot, but this is what the above info seems to confirm. The aero part of the diffuser is gloss black, but the diffuser itself is carbon.

Exactly Thanks!!! The two other changes will be the aero side skirt inserts will be black and you will be credited for those pieces that are supposed to be carbon fiber if you didn't add aero.. I do not know how much yet.. Also the more aggressive rear aero spoiler will come in carbon fiber instead of gloss black.

I called to tell the dealer about the crest projectors and how they are meant to replace the factory ones and act as an accessory upgrade to easily swap.
Last week I added the aero when i called today he said my car went into production already but still has a build date of mid feb.. so I don't know what it going on.
He said he thinks the credit will show on the ticket from the factory.
No credit shows on my build sheet and has my total for my coupe just over 100k at $100,100... The only guess i have is that considering the cf package is $2950.. so maybe 1k front insert 1k rear insert and $950 side sill inserts. So possibly a credit of $950.. We shall see.

Thanks for the update. I reached my sales manager today. He was out of the office and he is going to check with the head of AMG in the US. The limbo situation is kinda annoying, but I'm guessing my car doesn't enter production until sometime in April given my confirmed May 6 factory delivery in Germany, so I should have time to figure it out. It sounds like there were delays due to some potential issues with the aero package and some reporting their car with aero is held at the port in Germany waiting for a part. Hopefully MB USA is getting their act together and finally update the build configurator on their website. Perhaps that will clue us in to what's going on.

Just got off the phone with my sales manager and I ended up going back and added B28+773 on top of B26. I'm also in touch with the head of AMG USA now and his product team is researching it and trying to get us pictures and confirmation of everything posted here so far. It's also not confirmed yet if there's gonna be a credit for the side sills and how much. Hoping to find that out shortly as well. Once I hear back, I'll post an update. Maybe we'll get to see @purplewidow 's car in time to know for sure.

Unfortunately not. I've never heard back on the subject and my car has been built in the meantime. I'll be picking it up in a little less than two months at which point we'll finally know for sure, unless somebody else receives their car before me and posts pictures. I've also not seen any supposed credit materialize so far. I got the final order confirmation/invoice from MBUSA European Delivery and it's not showing a credit related to the CF packages. The only credits are the ED discount and a $100 taxi voucher. In about three weeks I'll have to pay for the car, then I will know for sure if there's a credit. If no credit, then I assume everything stated in the packages will be carbon fiber and I will take it up with Mercedes if it isn't. I'll raise a stink with the folks in Germany since I'm right there if anything that's supposed to be carbon, isn't.

I haven't gotten an update on mine in about 10 days or so.. it was produced on feb 11th so just waiting for a boat last I heard. Hopefully it’s on one now. I’m gonna check tomorrow.

Have you been able to see the pricing on the combination of B28, 773 with B26 added? I have a 2020 slot with B28 and 773, and debating on adding B26.
My only concern is that the rear diffuser is not as aggressive as the Mode Carbon diffuser - I have it on my W204 and love it. I would have skipped the 773 package and just gotten Mode Carbon parts, but they don't have the parts done for facelift and doing it myself would be a pain.

I would love to see pics of the rear mostly. Also, did you pay full price of the 3 (B28 $1,750, 773 $2,950, B26 $1750)? or was one of the packages prorated?
