Downpipes install pricing

So far I’ve seen 800 mostly everywhere for cut and weld
found an exotic ship near DC charging 1100 for transmission drop and install. What route is best and who has downpipes installed already? I tried the search function nothing popped up

skim7x 02-07-2019 07:03 PM

What?? I'd imagine it being about $400 for labor...

I haven’t found anyone even quoting that or close to it. I guess living in Virginia sucks 🤣

Ive got the same here in South Florida around $800.

skim7x 02-08-2019 04:00 PM

!! Forget that then... Not worth $2.5k for a little more noise and 30hp... 😪

can’t decude cut or get trans dropped I ordered my downpipes already

I would drop the transmission if you were going to do it. A proper install should be about $800 to $1200 depending on hourly shop rate,

most shops 800 for cutting and 1100ish for transmission drop. Does the transmission need to be reprogrammed

I’m trying to figure out the best route for this

In Houston. $500 with cutting the OEM down pipes.

why do to recommend doing the trans, aside keeping the OEM DP's?

No other reason besides keeping the stock down pipes intact.

are you in Harris? Do you have to do emissions test with state inspection?

Yes. You do. Full inspection. Unless you know someone....

I thought that the car would have issues on the smog test with catless downpipes, but i guess that's not the case. I live in the country my county doesn't have to do emissions test, and the inspection only cost $7.00:). Secret tip, if you read the state rules, you can also drive to a non emission county and do your test, there are loopholes in it.

It definitely is the case in Texas. You will absolutely not pass an emissions smog test unless you know someone, like he said.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. I'm in Grayson, where they dont do emissions test. Was asking in case I move into a county that requires it.

I know a place that can do them for $500.00 (Cutting OEM) here in south florida.
