2019 C63S lease deals

Curious as to what lease payments are looking like and what type of discounts people were able to get!

Hello! 1st post, woohoo! I am planning on leasing a '19 C63 sedan if the car actually arrives by May 1st (hearing all the delays on the forum worries me). Here's the deal I got. The car is $82,450 and this lease is with USAA discount and 10 MSDs.
Nothing is set in stone yet so any input is appreciated. And yes, I know the registration/license plate fees in Az are absurd. Can't blame the dealer for that.

LEASE PROPOSAL
CAP COST $78,450.00
RESIDUAL $45,278.75
MONTHS 36
DECAP $5,734.00
LEASE PAYMENT $947.40
Miles Per Year 10,000
•••••••• Due on Delivery ••••••••
Monthly Payment with Tax $1,022.72
License Plates $1,691.51
Lease Acquisition Fee $1,095.00
Cash Down (inc. Tax) $6,189.85
Total Money Needed $9,999.08

Have you been on LeaseHackr? I mean, no AMG is going to lease well, but that seems...wrong. Too much money down, too few miles for still 1k?

I sure have and there is almost no info that I've seen about a '19 C63 lease. Please post a link if you have found more info. I'm sure everyone here could benefit from it.

check forums.edmunds.com

LeaseHackr has a section you can post your lease deal for experienced people to look at and tell you what’s wrong with it. There’s not a lot of info specific to AMGs on there, you’re right - but, you can check edmunds for lease numbers then a “good deal” based on the numbers is pretty objective...yet still subjective at the end of the day.

If you’re happy with it and want the car, you don’t have to care if it’s the best deal. If you really cared, you wouldn’t buy an AMG anyway. :)

Ultimately the goal is to have a payment as close to 1% of the cap cost - that’s the holy grail. You’ll never achieve that with this car. So you have to consider leasing vs financing, not vs other lease deals.

What is your take on this?

The '19 C63 sedan (non S) has a residual value of 55% after 3 years/ 30k miles. Not sure how that's different than buying the car outright, then selling it 3 years later for 55% of what you paid or just giving the car back to Mercedes when the lease ends.
C63S apparently loses value quicker with a residual of 52%.

You also have to consider that you're paying significantly more in interest on a lease as opposed to a purchase. Historically, the AMG's have performed better than the stated lease residual value and you're paying 1K in acquisition fees as well as close to 7% interest on a lease. When you compare that with 0 acquisition fee on a financed deal and 3-4% interest from most CU's, there's a reason everybody says to buy these damn things.

Even if you're planning on selling in 3 years, you're going to come out way ahead on a purchase over a lease unless you get into an accident (depending on if you live in a state where you can make a residual value claim).

what do you think about lease and keep?
I can’t tell unless I have both deals in front of me to pay a closer look to my numbers.

I don't like it for this car because the MF is so high. At a MF between.00260 - .00290, you're basically paying 6.2 - 6.9% APR and have to pay a one time acquisition fee of 1K which pushes your interest rate above 7% compared to 3-4% from CU's.

The reasons for leasing are typically cheap financing and shifting the residual value risk to the bank... However, the residuals on the C63's are set so conservatively that there's little value in leasing. The only situation I can think of where you'd come out ahead leasing over buying is if you get in an accident and don't want to chase down a diminished residual value insurance claim.

my sticker is 91k, 2018 c63s

Also, depending on the state you're in, you often pay sales tax on the full negotiated price of the vehicle even when you lease it. Like Georgia, where let's say that out the door price on the car for purchase or lease is 90,000. In Georgia even if you're leasing it you pay sales tax based on 90,000 even if you're only doing a short term or any term lease and ostensibly only using a portion of the cars value.

Current rates on leasing the C63s Coupe:
36/12
.00157 MF and 50% residual
$500 incentive

I’m going to lease mine, MF isn’t that bad

susman@eurogermantown.com 03-07-2019 10:32 AM

finance the sedans for 2.99 up to 72 months... lease residuals are a % higher as well..
