Looking to buy 2018 AMG C63 S in Georgia
Hello folks. I am new to the forum and looking to buy this car in Marietta area from a dealer called Drive a Dream: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...eBackLink=true Its going to RBM of Alpharetta tomorrow morning at 10:00am for a PPI. It's a manufacturer's buy back I am willing to take a risk on. Anyone in the area can do me a solid and stop by to have a look? I am in Houston and not local to the car. Thanks.

the cars carfax, seems to say a lot more than engine issues
also, since this was not so long ago, why not contact the dealership that lemoned it?

the cars carfax, seems to say a lot more than engine issues
also, since this was not so long ago, why not contact the dealership that lemoned it?

I know. I really want the performance exhaust too. Can it be installed later? Also wanted the night package. I learned the rotors can be replaced with the standard ones. I was also told those carbon ceramics last a very long time.

Honestly for the price of this car, are you sure you want this one? There's a lot more C63S's around for similar prices albeit with more miles. But you'll at least be getting a non-lemon plus you can shop around for the options you want.

Per dealer order guide:
"The AMG Ceramic Compound Braking system has numerous benefits – namely, it is 40% lighter than a conventional steel braking system, offers significantly longer service life for the brake rotors, and provides exceptional resistance to brake fade under repeated aggressive stops.*
The materials in your AMG Ceramic Compound Braking system were derived from Formula One technology, and therefore will perform differently than conventional brakes.
Especially when cold, this ceramic composite material will resonate during braking and potentially feel less responsive under light brake pressure but with no loss in braking power. You will hear sounds, e.g. squealing, that you might not expect and which may be louder than what you are used to during ordinary everyday braking maneuvers – rest assured that this is a normal operating characteristic for this brake system, and is a by-product of the unique properties of the material. Mercedes-AMG recommends that the driver engage the brakes in an assertive manner in order to mitigate some of this noise during normal operation; Mercedes-AMG also recommends that the brakes be brought up to operating temperature before use in high-performance driving situations in order to improve braking performance."
Esp with no performance exhaust and this car is flagged... I would keep on searching.. sometimes it takes awhile but the one you want will eventually pop up.
