2018 E63S rear carbon ceramic rotors = fit on 2019 C63S coupe rear?

Sorry if this is a repost. I swear I stumbled upon a thread a couple weeks ago, and now I can no longer find it no matter what I search.

I'm considering adding to my C63S production order (vehicle to arrive this fall) the carbon ceramic brakes option. And someone mentioned the carbon ceramic rotors are only in the front. So it got me thinking that was silly so I looked around to find any direct swap options for carbon ceramic rotors for the rear.

I stumbled upon a thread that (if my memory serves me correctly) said the E63S carbon ceramic rotors in the rear are a direct fit replacement for the iron rotors in the rear of a C63S with the carbon ceramic brake option. The specs seem to match up with the C63S and E63S rear rotors both at 14.2" diameter. Nothing else needed to be changed or updated (e.g., calipers, sensors, etc, etc).

Does anyone know definitively (and has anyone done the swap) if the E63S carbon ceramic rotors are a direct swap onto a C63S rear (with the carbon ceramic brake option for the C63S)?

Thanks guys!

By the way, I'm trying to find an OEM MB solution first. I checked out Racing Brake and they do offer a carbon ceramic rotor conversion kit for the rear of the C63S, but I'm not quite ready to go aftermarket right out of the gate if I can find an OEM solution.

UNCONFIRMED. Again, these parts numbers are UNVERIFIED. So I can't be held responsible if some of them are wrong (although I've been assured the part #s are correct).

- Caliper #231-423-11-81
- Caliper #231-423-12-81
- Rotor #231-423-07-12
- Rotor #231-423-06-12
- Caliper Mount (need 2) #231-423-02-06
- Brake Pads #007-420-91-20

Kindly share if you're verified the part #s are right, or any corrections you find.

Alternatively, you can contact https://mrfiat.com/ as they sell the kit as a whole (rears only, or front & rear).

Thanks!

Now looking at this for my C63 Final Edition with the ceramic option. A few questions:

The C63 rear calipers on my car look identical to the E63 items (same size, bronze) apart from the lack of "carbon ceramic" lettering under the AMG logo. Do these need to be changed or just the pads?

The kits available in Europe include 2x electric motors for the parking brake. Can the originals be re-used? They look to be a generic part...

Yes mine also look the same. But I don't think they're the same calipers. Still need to be replaced to the best of my knowledge.

I don't know about the parking brake.

Got the rear ceramics fitted today and can confirm that the above parts list is accurate. The rear parking brake motors just carry over from the original steels and need to be removed and refitted on the new rotors.

Nice! 👍 Would you mind sharing the estimated cost of the part list? Did you get it thru MB or a third party parts supplier?
