2020 C63 Coupe - Order/Production

Am close to placing order for 2020 model. Does anyone know when production for new model year starts? I'd like to have some knowledge on this prior to discussing allocations and potential build/delivery dates with dealers. Thanks.

2020s have already begun production. In my case, my 2020 C63S coupe was built on July 1. I don’t actually expect to see the car until October based on the delivery timelines for the MY2019 cars.

Hopefully this might help:

Keep in mind that production is one thing, but the 2020s have to be released for delivery first. Several factors go into that. The 2019s weren't released until January. Some cars sat at the port for 6 months or more before released to customers. Hopefully, the 2020 release is closer to September/October/November as usual. The 2019s were so late because it was the first year of the facelift.

Thanks for the info guys. Are allocations for C63s hard to come by for the dealers, or pretty much a case of walk in and order the car? I'm coming from a couple BMWs that I had to wait several months for the dealers to even get an allocation that I could "change" for my order. Are C63s similar or more readily "available"? Just want to know what reality is before I start the process with the dealer. I'm in Houston and there a couple pretty big dealers here that I assume would get a strong number of AMG allocations each year.
