Why did I trade it?
The Macan had 42,000 miles
Expensive service costs (Porsche seems even more expensive to service than Mercedes)
No matter how much I modified it, it will never be in the same performance league as the C63s
A good price on the year old C63s with only 4500 miles.
Already factory engineered to be a performance beast.
Low end torque of the AMG V8 as opposed to the higher rpm torque of the Macan V6.
C63s handling is incredible compared to the Macan (SUV.) My next step would have been to lower the Macan with an air suspension module but still not close to C63 handling.
Looks incredible, especially in the Coupe body.
The AMG exhaust sound is incredible. My Remus Macan system sounded good but not like this.
What will I miss?
The Porsche PDK transmission.
The versatility of the Macan (like a do-all swiss army knife - cargo space, highly adjustable ride heigth, more like a versatile fast back rather than a SUV.
Reading over a lot of old posts here to familiarize myself with member topics. Maybe I haven't read enough but I'm surprised that most ECU mods are piggyback style. In my experience this never came close to the Cobb module, flashing new maps to the ECU, or in my case data logging through the Cobb module to crerate a custom map. All for around $1500. Does any manufacturer with a good track record offer this kind of service for C63 owners?
