Catted downpipes
Hi guys im ready to buy custom catted downpipes. My question is how big difference is between stock catted dp vs custom catted dp in increasing sound and hp? Thanks for all help.

I'm wanting to install DP's also and was just about to order w/200c GESI cats - until I saw ModelWorks on this forum selling DP's and Velos Tune (for for about the same price), there website says "catted version are louder than OEM but not significantly more"
Lots of sound clips of cat less on this forum but cant find any post with catted version - hope someone can post so we can get an idea what the difference in sound is.....

Volume will be a little lower with catted down pipes, but on the plus side the sound quality will be more smooth and less raspy.
Keep in mind that one major benefit of catless down pipes is that they hugely increase flow after the turbo by not having the cat there (larger diam helps here too) thus relieving some stress on the turbo and spooling quicker. Catted downpipes, while flowing better than stock Im sure, give a lot less of those benefits, and make less hp than catless to boot. And you pay more for them.
In fact ... IMHO ... If you don't do catless, hard to see how downpipes would be worth the trouble. If you want more power, there are cheaper and less-invasive ways to get 10 more hp (Renntech's claim for catted downpipes). If you want a different sound, easier and generally cheaper to mod the cat back, secondary cats, or mufflers.
