Anything to be worries about?

I have a 2015 c63s sedan, just took it through a wash (touchless of course) as it finished and I began drying it I noticed a lot of smoke or steam maybe coming from left bottom opening (looking at the car) is something wrong or is it just from the water and a hot engine?

i guess there is a radiator there and it could just be water steaming off? At least I hope.

I am not sure what that is as it could be many things but the manual does say DO NOT spray water directly into the front of the car. Especially with pressure washer. I am not sure if the washer you went through had that. Whenever I pressure wash the car myself, I always spray across the front instead of directly in front.

I’m pretty sure it does. It’s my second time going through this one, only cause it’s the only touchless I can find as I’ve rented my house out and can’t hand wash myself at the moment. However, this is also the second time this wash has done something to my car. The first bing actually punctured a hole in my PPF and created a water/bubble effect on my front bumper that I need to get fixed.

drove home and let it idle, no smoke and no light on dash, guess I got lucky. But won’t be using that wash anymore

The front openings expose the radiators and there have been numerous reports (especially in pre-FL) where it was punctured by rocks/debris from the road while driving. A pressure washer can have similar effects I would guess. I use just a hose for washing my car, and the nozzle has a lever to adjust the pressure. While washing the front, especially the grille I try to go a little easy on the pressure and instead spend more time washing by hand after spraying initially.

Still doesn't answer the smoke/steam question. My only guess would be that the water from wash hit something which was already hot and that caused the smoke/steam. The radiators would be the only guess. If it were from the wheels, I would have said possibly the brakes.

Hmm thank you, I let it idle and saw less smoke or steam.....so I think it was water just burning off. I haven’t driven for a few hours but getting bored and wanna go out for a drive, it’ll be good to see if it’s still accruing.

Don't worry about it it's normal. Water being sprayed onto your hot radiator will do this. It happens to heaps of people at the touchless car washes.

hey, it’s been running pretty good so far, still can’t pass smog though. Says the catalyst isn’t ready....drove it about 2000 miles still nothing. Had to get an extension on my registration. But I’m loving the car. Found a shop willing to do the secondary cat delete so I’m pretty pumped about that.
