Data Logging and Boost Tap Question
What's everyone using to log data? I know the JB4 users use the phone app, but was wondering if anyone has had success with HPTuners, OBD apps Torque, Carly, P3 gages etc.
Also, has anyone seen a boost tap to get an analog reference for boost? I see Weistec includes one if you buy their meth kit, not sure if they sell it separately.

My main goal is to monitor boost and IATs. I was able to see boost thought the torque app once, but it's super inconsistent. I wonder if its a 2020 model thing. Any time i plug something in the OBD port i get a "MerecdesMe Connect" error.

I started using the JB4 for logging ( it’s still the only way I can log my meth flow vs boost ) I now use HP tuners for logging as that’s what my tuner uses , it’s a little pricey but always gets the data your after

What PID’s are you guys logging?
I have OBD Fusion and a bluetooth/wifi dongle - it’s not great but it can show a handful of values and log.
That HPtuners datalogger looks by far the best of the bunch, aside from getting a JB4.

Another option, especially for on-track use and especially if you're a person who likes to play/experiment, is the RaceCapture Pro. The software for the RaceCapture is open source so, in theory, if you want something, you can program it. However, on a less involved side, it also includes some easier-to-use capabilities that allow a very high degree of customization:
- it has a built-in scripting capability (lua language)
- it has a built-in capability to examine the buses for different signals then program the unit to capture them
For example, my 2017 C43 delivers the boost PID to the OBD port, but my 2016 C63 S does not. I'll be using the RaceCapture to try to grab the boost info for the C63 S, along with other data that's not available via the standard OBD PIDs. Ultimately, I'd like to get the RaceCapture to turn on/off one or more iPhones that I use for both video and audio capture.
