Switched headlight power for illuminated star?

Is there a switched fuse to power an illuminated star in the engine compartment fuse box that will only power it when the headlights are on? I have tried the headlight fuses (yes, both sides) and the star never turns off. I would like for it to only come on when the headlights are on, not the DRL's, or always on. I really don't want to tap one of the headlight wires, but it is starting to look like the only option.
Anyone have a suggestion?

Do you really want your Star to illuminate? Can you just go without? I think illuminated stars are a bit tacky (no offence). Especially on an AMG. A Maybach....... maybe. But not our cars man 🤮

Agreed. I wouldn’t put It on my car even for free.

In reality, I try lots of different parts on my cars. Not all of them stay on.
I'm also quite interested in the engineering side of why the headlight fuse doesn't work as a switched power source. I'm guessing that in a modern car, the power for the headlight is always on through the fuse and an electronic switch bypasses the fuse to tell the headlight to come on? I'm obviously not an electronic engineer.

I spoke to one person, and his star will stay on for over 5 mins after the car is turned off and locked, and sometimes it pops on or messes with the headsup .. so he disconnected it.
Apparently has to do with voltage pull, and some other items in the system. (for lights, etc)

I installed this on my car a whiles back. I remember it being really easy. Check out the link above, looks similarly to what I remember doing.

Mate don't worry about what your gf thinks is cool. You drive an AMG. She needs to recognize.
Please don't do it......... Unless you're doing the rear badge too, then you can be mates with this turkey 😂

I guess I'll just have to ditch the illuminated star and go finish the under body neon kit I've been working on.
I detailed my engine bay ,and then cleaned my AC filter... should I add the star ?? :-)
