Dash Rattle - Left Hand Side Dash
I've read a number of posts here on it and appreciate the info. I took a short video of what my rattle sounds like. It is coming from somewhere on the left hand side drivers side part of the dash.
I have Mercedes looking at it on the 22nd and I let them know to check the front struts based on info from this forum.
Short video is attached. I am just wondering if the people who had issues with the struts causing the noise have the same noise I have.

I had a constant rattle coming from the front of the dash on my C63 cabrio and it took three visits to the dealer to figure out the strut tower bracing was not torqued to spec. Once they torqued it to spec it has been fine since. The strut towers are where the front struts are mounted at the top of the struts, they are also commonly referred to as shock towers but it is part of the front structure of the car that the front suspension is mounted to. The strut tower bracing connects the strut towers to the firewall for added structural rigidity. This bracing is bolted to the top of the strut towers and the firewall and if these bolts loosen up or aren’t torqued properly they will shift as the front suspension loads and unloads which could cause rattles. It did in the case of my car and this isn’t something you can just tell visually or by touch, you need someone to check the tightness with a torque wrench set to the proper specs.

Thanks. Passed that info along to the dealer. Assume what you heard with your car is the same noise mine is making in the video.

Honestly, I couldn’t really tell from the video you posted. Mine was a constant clicking sound. I took a ride with a tech and pointed it out to him, I even suggested it might be coming from the strut tower bracing.

This for sure does not sound like an interior dash board rattle...but some clunking on the suspension. Not sure I can see how the strut brace can make that sound either as the car seems to ride on a rather smooth road...but cant tell for sure.
