Wait time if I place an order for a 2021 C63.

I was at a MB dealership yesterday to test drive a pre-owned E53. Although it was nice, it didn't have the same feeling as the C63s I test drove a couple of weeks ago. I am thinking of ordering a 2021 C63 and was told by the salesman it would take 8-9 months. Is that accurate or just a con job to get me to buy his pre-owned?
What is the average wait time once an order is placed?

First off, you are posting in the wrong forum. You wanna post in the W205 forum. The W206 is the next generation C63 due early 2022. As for wait times, not sure what they are at the moment with COVID surging in Europe and most of the world again, but 8-9 months doesn't surprise me. There are a bunch of 2020 orders that were not fulfilled due to the factory shutdowns and they got converted to 2021 orders, and the supply chain has never really fully recovered. So the initial batch of cars is for orders that were originally placed for 2020. Daimler also got hit badly financially and they are laying off people. Some folks were waiting up to a year for their 2019 cars, just to give you an idea and that was before COVID. If you are planning on ordering a sedan, MB has also moved the production from Alabama to South Africa, so that will significantly increase order to delivery time compared to before when they were built in the USA.

Your sales man is telling the truth, first time I can ever say that lmaoo. I have been waiting since April for my 2021 C63s sedan. I know others who have been waiting coming to a year now. I initially ordered for a 2020 in April but it got kicked back in July they said I had to re-order for the 2021 after 3 months of telling me it was coming smhh. If you order now you might be able to get it in spring probably late May or Jun. I just got my Vin early November, mine is currently on a ship headed towards Belgium and then hopefully headed towards the Mercedes Brunswick VPC in Georgia. Dealer said 29th of December so I am hoping for sometime in Jan, or worst case feb with the way things have been going. You would probably be looking at least about 6 months or more. There are a bunch coming though they are starting to populate online, if you want to see what will be on the lots that would be quicker but to order expect it to take a while. Follow my IG: _cexy63s and PM I don't mine sharing more info on my build and things you could do to try to get a discount. Never pay msrp for these things....

Superswiss speaking facts again, my 2021 c63s sedan is coming from SA but the ship isn't just coming straight to the US, it went up the coast of Africa, hit Spain, France & currently on its way to Belgium just dropping off and picking up cars, I never realized the logistics and movement of cars totally went over my head until waiting for this order lol. My dealer said the 29th of December is when its reaching the Mercedes VPC of Brunswick, GA. I did see that there was a thing where cars that already have a buyer get processed first and those that are dealer orders last. I am hoping for an early Jan or worst case Feb delivery. I live in Atlanta, GA so its only about 6 hrs away from me. Depending on the coast you are on though will increase that time, east coast will get them quicker than the west.

My 2021 will head to the train Dec 14 , from the train to an assigned ship.
My SA sends me screenshots of the status on the regular.
As for the transit time , etc ..who knows
I can track it once it hits the ship ...I am still on track to take collection late Jan 2021

Several dealerships with open builds that you can modify and take over . I know a few have 63s headed back to the states around Feb or March
You will have to call around or maybe out of state

I wish I had your SA lol. I’m hopeful that it’s before the end of the year 🤞🏽

Man this was 2 years in the making , I skipped on the 2018.
My SA would ping me every other month after that.
once 2020 hit , it was a done deal grabbing a Allocation and paying my Deposit.

For now its a waiting game , things can change. lol

Call Around Cali dealerships see if they have open orders you can still modify.

Just a heads up, Mercedes has stopped allocations for the w205 model and the 2021 year. They are now moving onto the next gen allocations. I believe you can still get a w205 coupe 2021 but that window is probably closing soon as well. GET YOURS ORDERE ASAP!!!!!!!
