Engine vibrations in neutral/park in comfort mode.

Do you guys feel a natural engine vibration when the car is on park/ neutral? Almost as if the engine is rocking the car ever so slightly constantly? Or you guys do not get any vibrations at all? I have had big v8 trucks acting very similarly in neutral.

Just trying to gauge if this is normal or not. If not, might be the engine mounts? This disappears completely if I keep the car in S+ or Race where the resting RPM increases.

I get that same “vibration” to use that term loosely.

you could be right about the engine mounts because my pre facelift was a “non” S without active engine mounts and was very smooth when idling in comfort.

Yes it is not exactly a vibration. More like a rocking back on forth. The same way a 1980's muscle car used to rock in idle. Should I get it looked at?

Can't say I feel a rocking back and forth, but there is engine vibration coming through when stopped. Sometimes it seems to come through more than other times for some reason. The engine mounts are supposed to be looser when stopped or driving slowly and tighten up at higher speeds and more dynamic driving, but the looser mounts could mean that the engine moves around more at a standstill. There is a service campaign for the AMG Drive Unit related to the dynamic engine mounts, but not sure if it still applies to 2020 models, but best to have your SA check VMI. I've got it applied last September and it definitely smoothed out a few things. There's another campaign for the AMG Drive Unit related to an issue with the rear locking differential. I just got that one applied a week ago during Service B. It seemed to smoothen the drivetrain further in Comfort mode.

I already had both of this checked the day you posted this on the other thread. Nothing for my car. I just had an outstanding powertrain update and they did it when I took the car in for rattles.

I do not know if Mercedes Canada always gets campaigns after Mercedes USA though. Did these vibrations you felt go away after these updates?

The exhaust sounds absolutely naste after the latest update though. Only the volume is missing because of the CAT I think.

Yes, sometimes I feel it in Neutral or Park.
More so when my leg is resting on the transmission tunnel (behind the console) you can feel a pulse at times.

That is exactly what I am talking about. Ok so it’s normal then.

I had this exact issue on my 2016 C63S sedan. Ended up being a bad trans mount that Mercedes covered under warranty. I’d definitely take a look at those next time you have your car on the lift. Completely fixed the issue for me.

Like does it look cracked? My car only has 1500miles on it.
