I purchased 2021 c63s with 13,115 miles last year in November. Fast forward 1st week of April 2022 and it gets rear ended by a drunk driver coming off the interstate. The guy had no insurance. I am thankful to be alive and walking and my insurance did not write off the vehicle. Total repair cost 24,500 all OEM parts at certified Mercedes’ collision center referred by the dealer.
Here’s the dilemma the car has been there since April and they have all the parts necessary to repair and deliver the vehicle back to me BUT this 2 part adhesive kit needed to mold the right rear quarter panel. It is non existent in California and is back ordered from Germany with no current ETA.. I spoke to my local dealers and there are some dealers in the country that carry a few kits in stock. Mercedes of Daytona Florida has 1 available and a couple dealers in Texas. I believe they told me grapevine Mercedes’ and Dallas Mercedes’ of Texas had some kits in stock.
I need your Guys help! If anyone is located in those regions and is willing to purchase and ship to me this adhesive kit I would greatly compensate you for the cost of the adhesive and shipping and any personal costs for valuable time and energy. I’m desperate to get my vehicle back as my collision center has no eta as to when they can get their hands on this adhesive kit to repair my c63s. Any help would greatly be appreciated. DM me if anyone is willing to help me locate this last piece of the puzzle.

I would call around and see if there is a nationwide list. I waited a month for them to find a strut for me and found it myself in a day by calling around to dealers until one looked up the nationwide list
It odd that your dealer can’t call them to order it?
The collision center has had the dealer order it but there’s no eta at the moment because it’s on nationwide back order with none available in Germany.

I have called several local dealers, hours and even states away. No dealer has the adhesive in stock. Some other dealers have it but are unwilling to ship the item to other dealers for some reason ? Any insight? They claim because they have to keep stock for their local certified body shops because the part is so scarce.
