Changed spark plugs and air filter and feels faster?

I recently changed my spark plugs and engine air filter and I feel like the the car is more responsive and faster.
First time changing air filter and spark plugs on car that has 47k miles.
I also had ECU updates as well as other updates required by MB.
I hope it’s not my imagination but I think my PFL C63s is noticeably faster.
One downside is I do notice the exhaust is not as loud as before from updates 🙁

It should be a lil faster. As spark plugs get old, you loose a little hp. Same thing with air intake filter. I change mine every 10k miles along with coils and filters but I have stage 2 turbos. There’s a noticeable difference from my butt dyno

It is probably because dealer reset adaptation after ecu update.

Maybe in mind but I think it’s a little faster after 50mph. I always feel good after oil change too

Thanks confirming my feelings. I’m glad I am not just imagining the increase in responsiveness and acceleration.
I’ll make sure to change my air filter more often.

Perhaps I didn’t think of that. I had it on Race mode with manual shift and felt slightly faster.

******If you had a sparkplug or two with a broken or cracked insulator from detonation a new set of plugs will for sure make your car faster! Especially if ya fix the reason the car was detonating in the first place!

I had dyno time reserved for several hours with a technician and we once decided to put a stock air cleaner with the factory air box and air cleaner box mufflers/baffles (to reduce intake sound) on a 600 ish HP Big Block Chevy and we *lost* 109 hp at the peak versus the open air cleaner with a cold air setup. We had a bad spark plug wire kill about 70hp on a car before we figured out what was going on, and a leaky injector with improper spray pattern kill 60 ish hp.

Details matter, and regular maintenance as well as a scan tool and other diagnostic equipment can really help keep a car running at its peak if you know what to look for, etc.. Dragy numbers, etc.. as well. I'm amazed at how much money people throw at their cars replacing parts they think have gone bad when the problem is something completely different. A decent mechanic with experience and some scan and other tools can quickly find most problems as well as enhance performance through tuning if access to a dyno is possible. Big time saver and for many probably cheaper than replacing all of the coils, the plugs, the injectors, or whatever because they think they have gone bad.

Dunno how good a butt dyno is, but I've seen a few women with phenomenal butts I would love to have in my car to help equalize torque and uhhh.. other stuff. Mostly other stuff.

Why do you need to change the coils at 10k? Preventative thing?

The newer generation of Delphi coils after the recall years ago will last you at least 30k. At least!

My guess, stages 2 and 3 tune kills the plugs and coils fast cause misfires.

With 47k miles I never changed my coils. Maybe I need to do this? Service department didn’t mention anything about changing coils.

It does include over 2 years the following, air filters, oil change a + b, spark plugs, transmission oil change, differential oil change, wipers. I might be leaving something out but that’s pretty much it.
