Hey all my car took a strong hit to the curb on the right side and now the alignment is definitely off because the steering is tilted to the right for the car to go straight.
took it in for alignment and the shop said that they cant bring the toe to spec on that side which makes them say something is bent but they dont know which part.
went to a body shop too and they said they will order the diagrams from the dealer and take a look.
I was wondering if any member had further insights to share on possible root cause of this issue? Thanks
I don't think there's much to add here. The impact bent something in the suspension. Possibly the tie rod and/or the suspension arms. Suspensions are not design to handle side impact. That almost always ends up in bent or snapped parts. What happened? Too much fun drifting?

thats what the body shop said too but is it not something a visual check would reveal because the guy was like this is aluminum so hard to see small bends
wasnt drifting. lapse of judgement on my part on a steep and narrow parking garage entrance
wasnt too serious but enough to bend something i guess

*****Easy enough for a food body shop to check for square chassis. My guess given the description is a bent suspension arm/control arm. These cars don't take well to hitting a curb hard like that. Hopefully an easy to replace part. There's a lot down there to bend but the control arms as well as nearby suspension components can be easily damaged from a side impact if it is hard enough. Below is a pic of a control arm - they are tough to bend, but what they bolt on to can also be damaged, etc.. A decent body shop with typical measuring tools should be able to quickly diagnose the problem components.
