2018 C63s Brake Pasd

i moved to UT a year ago and can't find a good indy shop that isn't the same price as the dealership so my car (2018 C63s sedan) is at the dealership and once there let me know there is a shortage of brake pads with no ETA from Germany. My quesiton to you all is what aftermarket brand should i be looking to bring to them so i can get my car back? It's been 2+ weeks and want to drive the car before the seasons change -

in the past i've had either used oem or akebono, but looking for suggestions that i can get sooner vs later.

Any and all help is appreciated -

So after checking some part numbers for the front brake pads, The newest part number is on back order, Germany doesn't show any stock but there are some dealers who do have them, there is one dealer who has 3 sets. i will call and see if one set is available and maybe you can get a hold of them and pay for them and shipping.. hopefully it all depends on the parts guy you get to deal with.. how much work he wants to do lol..

i spoke with chris @ Mercedes benz of Merriam Mercedes in Kansas

He said he can let one set go... hopefully he'll let you have them!!!

Better off staying away from OEM mb brakes pads. I find myself constantly cleaning my wheels because of brake dust. So frustrating after just cleaning them then after a short drive, the wheels already showing brake dust.
FCP Euro or ceramic pads seems like the better choice for good performance and less brake dust according to many here.

Have you looked at EBC Brake Pads? I’m running Red Stuff on my ‘20 C63S coupe (FL). They’re ceramic.

Baldmike, that's my bad. i asked them about the front pad set. not the rears... just looked at stock for the rears. Mercedes has nothing in the rear, only 1 dealer in the states is showing a set.

its all good - near impossible to find rears right now oem or aftermarket - did find a set of akeebono ceramics that will be here Thursday and will hopefully get my car back before the weekend - if your car is going in to the shop for brakes make sure they have them in stock - my car has sat outside for 3 weeks now.

Also - still looking for a good indy shop that doesn't charge dealer pricing in the SLC area that is worth a **** and has experience with aftermarket goodies - i guess i was spoiled in N Ca -

I personally recommend Porterfield R4-S brake pads.
