Secondary cat delete on 2016 C63S Sedan

Hello there, I took my C63S to a reputable exhaust shop here in AZ, and they said my secondary cat was already deleted, or that it looks as though it came that way factory. I’ve viewed other articles and used the search features but was unable to find anything definitive. The cats that are visible under the car, are these the secondary cats?

this shop apparently has never worked on a c63 before so I don’t expect them to know. If that is the second cat, how would it be removed?

It looks like it is still there, the primaries are right after the turbos, so it looks like the secondaries are still there.

Yes, your secondary cats are there, but attached to the primary cats up top. One piece. They start right off the back of the turbos, then end underneath the car there where you can see. They either have to be cut off, or the correct way is to remove the transmission which isn't as hard as some think. No other way..

Ah I was curious. I have taken it to 2 exhaust shops now and they all say that its too tight for them to re-weld and to just get catless DPs but I don’t want to go that route at this time

Here is a couple pictures of when my son and I dropped the transmission with no lift for downpipes on my AWD GLC63 which is the same as C63(minus the AWD part). You can see how tight it is. Even when you cut them just above the 2nd cats, they still don't just slide out. Transmission can be out in probably 2 hours. Hour and a half if you don't have a transfer case lol

Dont need to drop transmission just for secondary cat delete. Lots of people on the forum including myself have had secondary cat delete done so you just have to take it to a shop that knows what theyre doing.

definitely dont let a shop who says looks like your secondary cats are already removed touch your car

Bull****, no need to drop the transmission....cut them out and there is just enough room to weld in some straight piping...
