JB4 in the mail

Good day gentlemen , currently have the jb4,bcm and Bluetooth wireless in the mail. I need honest opinions about jb4 on a 2020 C63 I know people will say should of just flashed the ecu and cpc or whatever but I just don’t find it necessary to drop 5k with euro charge in Houston for 120 hp they claim more but my budddy got it and he only went to 550 hp and a little below 600 tq on stage 2 so Im trying the jb4 out before I do anything big. Advice ?? Opinions on jb4?

No experience with JB4 and 2020 C63, but I have JB4’s sitting around my garage from previous 2017 M4 and 2017 911 installs. They became expensive paperweights. On both those cars I ended up getting a flash tune within 2-4 months of installing the JB4. To me, JB4 didn’t perform nearly as well as a proper ECU flash tune. Not to mention the pain of install/deinstall for dealer service.

I have RennTech stage 1 on my 2021 C63s and I really notice and enjoy the power delivery, overall performance and ease of install/deinstall.

Lowered on KW HAS, 265/305 PS4S, Valentine 1 hardwire, and Audiotech Fischer Match 10 DSP upgrade with Focal speakers were last few projects. Other cosmetic bits here and there, nothing major.

Reviving ld thread, sorry.

On the JB4 installation, did you guys install 4 or 6 plugs for sensors?
There were 2 each side in the front under that black pain in the ***, no slack shroud (the cause of the misery of the installation) and 2 real easy ones on the side of the engine towards the back half.
I did all 6 and have a CEL and des. They;re teling me now to uninstall 2 of the fronts now.

Found the issue. One of the wires and oins backed out of 1 of the connectors. I pushed it back in, reconnected the connector & no more CEL or codes!
