C63 2016 no race mode

Hello, its my first post here and I would like to ask about c63 2016.

I just bought my first Mercedes benz car 2 days ago and it was c63 2016.
but while i was watching videos about the car I found out that most people have a race mode with the switch modes.
my car only has ( comfort, sport, sport+, Indvisual )
may I know if there is a way to have the race mode? Or the c63 doesn’t have one.

thanks

Hi welcome to the forums! From what I recall, race mode is only available in C63S models. You have a non-S C63 which is why you’re not seeing it. I believe someone here coded their C63 to get race mode but I’m not sure if it had the same performance effects of stock race mode.

No prob...I never really used race mode in my '21 so I don't really know the answer to that question. Maybe @superswiss or someone else can chime in?

@RavenM6 is correct. RACE mode is only available in S models and above. It's one of the things that differentiates the non-S from the S. The biggest difference of RACE mode compared to S+ is that RACE mode has a linear throttle map. S and S+ have progressive throttle maps, meaning less pedal travel is required for a given engine response. However, that makes things hard to modulate in a track environment, when hitting up the canyons or for drifting, because the engine response is disproportional to the throttle input. I love RACE mode in the canyons. It's the best mode the car offers for dynamic driving. S+ is nice on the street. Makes the car feel fast and responds quickly, but it doesn't allow for the fine throttle inputs that RACE mode does.

Other than that, RACE mode affects the driving dynamics. More so in the FL models than in the PFL models, because the FL models have AMG DYNAMICS which is an integrated chassis dynamics control system. In the non-S models it has 3 modes (Basic, Advanced and Pro), but in the S RACE mode adds the Master mode, which makes all the difference. It's the most balanced and most dynamic mode. In the PFL it mostly increases the ESP thresholds and if I remember correctly automatically puts ESP in Sport Handling mode.

Some people have coded RACE mode into the non-S models. It's technically possible, but you won't get the full experience, because the PFL non-S lacks the electronic rear locking differential and the non-S in general lacks the dynamic engine mounts.
