From a performance standpoint, it is not worth the money.
You're getting a marginal hp increase on the very top end; you will never notice it.

It's mainly a cosmetic/sound modification. It does look good, though.

It depends on your mods. If you're running larger turbos, more boost, higher octane etc. then you should definitely be looking at upgraded intakes. You're sucking in more air....the stock intakes were not designed to support that.

I am running PTG intakes (other vendors have similar molds) and there is definitely a performance increase. I also have numerous power mods, so take it fwiw.

One thing I will say - I originally ran modalwork intakes and the sound was incredible. The trouble was, they were triggering a soft code and pulling power (apparently they have harness extenders as a fix for that), so I couldn't run them for long.

The closed intake systems really don't sound any louder than stock but you have the benefit of lower IATs over open systems.

For the $$ to HP ratio a tune is the best bet. If you tune and add downpipes even more so. After that it’s not very cost effective

Im 770 bhp on bigger turbos... with enclosed intake... but i can buy a Weistec intake kit for a good price of a friend of mine whos selling his car..

I had some trouble with a bad fiting of the air intake pressure sensors on the rear of the box... it threw the crankcrase pressure P1CE700 and P1CE800 code.. which i believe is soft limp or whatever.. but it did pull power... AM I RIGHT HERE?
