Amazon deal of the day!! Carbon Fiber Arm Rest Covers

I gotta say I’m pleasantly surprised . The fit and quality are great , especially considering I paid less than $50.00

The fitment looks decent but It would have to be real carbon fibre for me or I'd feel a bit sh*t about myself whenever I look at it

But aye man looks alright in those pics

Cheesy in my opinion. That touch point I want soft, not hard plastic with dip over it.

Wild cheesy, especially when putting fake carbon next to real carbon.

Cause they can barely afford the car payments, maintenance and service costs. Gotta make up for it somewhere.

Holy shhhit this is exactly fu*king it...

I asked this question a few years ago here because I wondered
why dudes came on here and being all excited, I get to know a member then suddenly he's gone because he's offloading his C63S in a matter of months

It happened to me at least 5 times with meeting other owners

Asked myself what was going on. I thought..... Aren't we all balling and can afford maintenance? Or do you hate the car that much?

But it seems most of these owners actually live beyond their means and just can't afford this car. Then freak out when they need to maintain it...... plus most of these young guys can't turn a wrench

OH SHHIT 😦😦😦

Sorry for my 2c but I just had a light bulb moment

We actually have the same problems on the Macan forums. I own an ‘18 Turbo. This is not specific to MB. People buy high end vehicles and have a habit of buying the top of the line, option the snot out of them then start modding. Then, the payments come due: tires, alignments, general maintenance and then hold their breath if service is required. So, they sell. We could only guess what the second owner will do with it.

Why all the bashing?? Should OP only shop for overpriced CF from say, MACarbon? Renntech? Or bargin bins like some of the vendors here that sell the same parts for half the price? That are just as poorly made?
Why all the elitism? And who said the OP can't afford service or parts? WTF are you guys talking about?!

Agree,

While not a fan of fake carbon, I can also say I’m not happy that I’ve spent over 2k on interior carbon from “reputable” sellers, all of which has had defects, bad fitment, bad resin, or bad adherence to the parts and then, no service to make up for the cost. So sometimes fake may be an ok thing for some as long as it’s not passed off as real. Nothing I’ve purchased aftermarket has lasted like oem Mb carbon, imho. So, I don’t buy fake buy I surely will make sure not to waste my money again on the aftermarket stuff either, at least not from any seller I’ve seen so far.

I wholeheartedly agree with the oem CF, that stuff has held up very well. For example the rear spoiler is oem...and still flawless: no fading, yellowing, peeling...I spent almost 8K on a 3 piece front lip and a rear diffuser from Rentech, and they looked good for a few years.....but after a while the were peeling and yellowing...I ended up just throwing them away. I have mirror shells from MACarbon and one yellowed and faded but John replaced it.....TWICE for no charge. They still look good despite the sun they take. I'd love to have another rear diffuser but I'll get a 1700 dollar one if I do instead of a 3700 dollar one.

Your car. Bottom line. Do whatever you want. You want cheap CF stick-ons? Go for it.

Yep, no one is criticizing the cheap carbon, to each their one.

We are talking about something else which looks taboo but its a sad reality…

Yeah. We are criticizing the cheap carbon double-sided stick on crap. But, like I said, to each their own. Their money. Their car. However, if you post, you open yourself up to "Wow! I gotta have that!" or "Cheap looking on a vehicle of this caliber".
