Is there a better sounding car (stock) than the C63S?

I’m just curious to know if there is a better sounding car (stock) than a C63s? Excluding any hyper or super car.
I know the GTR sounds better, perhaps the GT63S? I think C63s and GT63s might sound similar, slight edge to gt63s. I believe C63s sounds better than any BMW and definitely for sure, Audis. Porsches sounds ok but don’t think they sound as good as the c63.
I’m not fan of the hellcat sound personally.
What sounds better?

2018 S560, 2004 SL500, 2014 S550 (SOLD), 2012 S550 x2(SOLD), 2007 CL600 (SOLD), 2007 S600(SOLD)
GT3, GT4RS, GT350R, E60 M5 just to name a few. I think the W204 C63 sounds better than the 205 as well. Though sound is subjective.

AMG GTR is pretty much the same just a bit more "rrrrr" to it but E46 M3 CSL, W204 C63 and 911 GT3 are the ones I like just a bit better than our cars

So true that sound is subjective. I actually like w205 C63s sound better than w204 c63. The w205 has that crackle and pops and bangs that just sounds so nice. The w204 has a nice deep mean exhaust which is awesome but not enough pops and bangs.
The M5 sounds nice and mean but I think it lacks character the w205 c63’s exhaust has with raspy, crackle and pops. Again it’s all subjective and depends on each individual taste. I know a lot of people don’t like the pops and bang.
GT3 sounds so nice in motion. Think C63 might not sound as loud and whiny as GT3.

Personally I prefer the sound of naturally aspirated high revving engines, so 911 GT3 or my prior Audi RS5. As good as the C63 sounds it doesn't come close to the scream of my RS5 at 8500 rpm. That thing sounded like a race car when opened up. I drove both the RS5 and C63 on the German Autobahn at high speeds and the C63 was silent in comparison to the RS5 screaming at around 7000 rpm at the same speeds. With the 9-speed transmission and the torque of the C63 driving at high speeds on the Autobahn was more of a serene experience, whereas with the RS5 it was like somebody was screaming at me the entire time in a good way.

Yep, I don’t recall my 2014 RS5 sound that brutal, but as you say you needed to take it to the limit so you can hear that scream…

Would say that our c63 sounds quite better overall

Yeah, at the road speeds here in the USA the RS5 was fairly tame sounding. Luckily I have access to lots of deserted canyon roads, so I could make that engine sing. The C63 is more of a big block low rev experience, so it sounds better at low speeds than a high revving engine. Never liked the engineered fake pops & bangs in the PFL, though. I much prefer the FL, also because it has shorter gears so you actually get to rev and shift it at still legal speeds. Was never a fan of the 204 for much the same reason. Whenever I hear one I think it's just another pickup truck, which diminishes the car for me. The low revving big block V8 sound was never my thing. I grew up with the spine-tingling high revving F1 engine sounds. I hear a bit of that in the FL even if it might be aided by sound coming through the speakers, but I like it. My favorite AMG sound is probably the GT Black Series, but only inside of the cabin. It doesn't sound like much outside, but inside it has that high pitch race car sound thanks to the flat-plane crank. The firing order is also what makes a difference. My favorite V8 sound has always been Ferraris. High-revving combined with the best sounding firing order.

I have experience with the M5s, and just took an M8 out for a test drive two weeks ago. I am / was super impressed with the throaty-ness of the M5 and that M8 would make you drool as that stock V8 sound does all the things we would want without having to upgrade / change things. The newer C63S like mine have a great cold start, but once the car warms it lacks ***** even with the sport exhaust engage activated. I've left mine completely stock, and just deal with it. The sound of a nice shift at high RPMs when in manual is dreamy, and the high RPM gurgles in 2nd and 3rd gear are nice.... but to say it's the best sounding stock I say... meh. I wish I didn't have to drop $4k-$10k on an exhaust to get the car to sound how I think it should. This is where I say the BMWs have us beat. My personal preference would be an Akrapovic exhaust.... anyways said my piece... ready for the roasting.

Yeah the newer C63s are a little muted except the final Ed. Also sound piped into the cabin, I’m not a fan of. The M5 CS with the M performance exhaust sounds very nice and loud but lacks the pops and bangs.

As someone who owns a C63S as well as an E63 M6 (same s85 engine as the E60 M5), if I’m comparing stock sounds then the C63S wins hands down. However, with an Eisenmann race exhaust on my M6, I think it sounds better than the C63. On winter cold starts, it’s loud enough to trigger the C63’s alarm.

Those American muscle cars are pretty loud for sure. Really you think 5 cylinder Audis sound better than C63?
Heard a RS3 and they ok.

Actually not stock. I’ve only heard the 5 cyl modified. Sounds like an angry v10 gallardo. Stock I think the c63 sounds better.

I agree about the supercharged v8 from Jaguar. That’s why I now have two of those in my fleet. I think that if one is a fan of AMGs, one would be a fan of the SVR Jags too. The ethos of a classy/high brow brand name car that packs a large engine which makes menacing sounds carrying a muscle bound attitude is alive and well in both brands. At least, up until now.
