Pre-facelift catalytic in Facelift?

Pre-facelift catalytic in Facelift?
The OPF making my facelift so muffled even with an EVM installed. Was thinking of installing the pre-facelift catalytic to get some pops and bangs back but wondering if the ECU might detect something and trigger the check engine?

US spec cars don't have an OPF. They have secondary cats just like the PFL. The pops & bangs are artificially done by the ECU, which they dialed back in the FL.

Gee wish I could just swap and use the pre-facelift ECU in mine oh well I'll wait till my warranty expires this summer so just gonna get DP and tune

Not entirely true. FL cats are more quiet than PFL. OP, they will fit and will be a little louder and you will get a little more pops and bangs.
