2016 C63S Broken diff cover mount
Question is, has anyone else had a diff cover failure and gotten any repairs or assistance when out-of-warranty? I have spoken with MB corporate customer care, and they won't even entertain a discussion on any vehicle with over 75k miles. It seems like since this was the subject of an NHTSA safety recall, that there should be some extended mileage coverage, but MB won't acknowledge or offer anything. I'm not expecting full coverage being out-of-warranty, but you would think that a failure that is arguably related to a previous recall fix would have some coverage :/
Am I nuts for expecting MB to own-up to something for this issue? Honestly, a differential shouldn't break its mounts and snap an axle on a stock car, and that be considered a normal wear-and-tear expectation.
