C63s -P00178 - Crankshaft position correlation with exhaust camshaft position (bank 1
Hi everyone on the Mercedes forum! I'm new here and have turned to you because I'm stuck on what to do with this car. I have a 2017 Mercedes C63S with 96,120 km on the clock. The car has been running perfectly, but suddenly, it threw the following error codes:
I’ve also tested the camshaft solenoids, and both show a resistance of 9 ohms and click nicely. My question is really: Is it normal to need to replace the camshaft? When replacing the camshaft's VVT (Variable Valve Timing), does the reluctor ring come with it, or is it a part of the camshaft itself? According to the picture I’ve attached, it’s mounted on the camshaft, but I don’t understand why I’m not receiving any signal from it.

I have the same symptoms. Did you succeed in this problem??Exhaust camshafts, augusts, magnets, and solenoid valves were replaced. -32 degree fixed with p001785 left
