MBWorld Marketplace classifieds and many thanks to all!
I sold my 2021 C63S cabriolet last week. I got $64k which to me is s big disappointment considering the car was in Pristine condition and only had 3,700 mikes. I sold it to HGreg Lux. I was contacted by them through an ad I put on Cars.com. The sad thing about it is I also put a classified ad on the Marketplace section of this forum. IMO the Marketplace section should have been the best place to advertise because of all the enthusiasts on this forum. This was clearly not the case. When I went to search for my car on Marketplace using the specific catagories they have, my ad did not come up. I made several inquiries to the staff about changes I wanted to tweak in my ad and to be fair, they did respond and helped me. That being said, my car was never able to be seen by a potential buyer if they used the specific sub catagory menu. It was buried in the many pages of classified adds. Someone looking for my specific car was not able to see it unless they stumbled upon it while browsing. This is very unfortunate especially since this forum has been an excellent source of information for many people including myself. MBWorld has served me well as it has and does with all of it's members. The Marketplace section whick I believe is run by outside people is not a good reflection on the general MBWorld forum. That being said, I thank the many members of this forum who has provided me with a wealth of information. I will be moving on to another brand of cars for myself while still supporting the MB badge by continuing to lease GLE SUV's for my wife. I will soon be taking possession of my 5th or 6th consecutive leased MB SUV's in the coming weeks. Again, thank you to all!!!

It's unfortunate you didn't get what you expected but selling cabs in the winter months was really not a good move and had you waited another couple of months, you would have gotten considerably more.
Enthusiasts on forums are always looking for killer deals and even if you had lowered the car to 60, they would have still expected even lowered price
Anyway enjoy you next car/s, not many people have the finances to do so.

Going to take a plunge in the EV catagory. I always liked the looks of the Audi RS e-tron GT. May sound crazy but I found one on Swapalease. I'm assuming a lease of someone in California who had it for three months. He got one of those crazy lease prices that you sometimes read about. So for $990 per month including tax, for 18 months and no money out of pocket with the exception of shipping it from Nappa Valley California to South Florida, The lease incudes maintanance and Audi care which covers tires and minor damage. It won't be a killer on my budget. I requested an inspection from the Audi dealership which he agreed to, seeing how the CarFax only showed him taking delivery 3000 miles ago. He had the car put on a fllat-bed. The dealership updated software, did scheduled maintenance, and even sent me a video of some of the inspection. To be continued!
As for the bad timing of selling a Cabriolet in the winter, I didn't have a lot of choice seeing that my Warranty will be up in two months making it more difficult to sell. The H Greg Lux manager from California wanted it for their location in California because of the better demand out West. I'm sure they will do well with the sale but
I'm ok with that.

Glad you got it sold though.
Oh well.... It's replacement is a 2025 Audi RS6 Avant Performance that is due for Delivery in September.

Market may be soft and cabs are also a super tiny niche. For me personally, such low mileage on a 4 year old non-collector car would also be a major red flag for a couple of reasons. My first concern would be that with such low mileage it was often driven for a short distance only, or it sat around, which isn't doing it any favors. The second reason is that you pretty much wasted the factory warranty. The car is barely broken in and most of the issues probably haven't shaken out yet. So whoever is gonna buy it will have to deal with loose ends that'll show itself with more mileage. Bit of a shame really. You had this car for 4 years and you only drove it for 3700 miles. That's an expensive paperweight.
Sounds like AFS changed their stance on lease transfers. Audi leases used to not be transferable. Well technically you could, but AFS didn't release the original lessee of their liability, so they remained on the hook if the new lessee defaulted. Did you ask the guy from California why he is getting rid of it after only 3 months? Not exactly a seal of approval.

Sure, I didn't get my money's worth with the factory warranty, but I didn't leave the next guy high and dry either. I always purchase the extended warranty for my vehicles. It's a selling / feel good way to help ensure the next owner isn't stuck with something that may not exactly be their fault. So the gentleman who bought my car gets another 3 years of warranty and one more prepaid service out of the deal.

Most AMG owners, in my experience keep mileage low, but that can vary from model to model. Of course differs from driver to driver as well. I know you drive yours often Swiss, and have enjoyed your insight, expertise, and experience over the past 4 years. I plan to continue to lurk in the shadows.
Perfect example, my wife's AMG GLC43 had 23k miles on it when we sold it and bought her a 2025 AMG GLE53 two months ago. We had that GLC for about 30 months. She doesn't work from home or travel for work like I do so her car's are driven every day. If I was in the market for an AMG C63 S and came across a miley one I would automatically assume it's been thrashed and abused especially if it was a leased vehicle. Sure, I didn't get my money's worth with the factory warranty, but I didn't leave the next guy high and dry either. I always purchase the extended warranty for my vehicles. It's a selling / feel good way to help ensure the next owner isn't stuck with something that may not exactly be their fault. So the gentleman who bought my car gets another 3 years of warranty and one more prepaid service out of the deal.

$61k sale on a $99k MSRP means 11.5% annualized depreciation. In the ballpark for MB, Porsche and BMW mainstream models with average miles.
