Battery swap question
Hello. I have to replace my battery. I trickle charged it overnight but it still is testing low. I noticed what appears to be a castle nut or something similar ont ehfront,left,towards the top of the battery that has a cable connected to the side of the trunk. I'm guessing it is a ground? Anyway, what type/size of nut is that if anyone knows?

Inform the vehicle's electrical system that a new battery has been installed.
Adjust the battery's performance specifications if necessary.
I was told that this was what needed to be done.
You need a tester with this funktion.

The MB bulletin say‘s tell the elec-system that a new fresh battery is installed & correct the spec of the battery (AH etc) if something has changed.
I think without this to do the car will drive too.
But first AMG Service rule - work like MB/AMG says !

Depending on year of vehicle, the battery management system supposedly appreciates being informed of a new battery, so the system can modify its charging policy, or something like that. Not sure if there is any data beyond anecdotal if this improves the life of the new battery in any way, but it may find favor with the mercedes gods. A simple scanning tool can input the new battery information.
