-NO FLY ZONE- returns to Minter Field for another 1/2 Mile roll race event. We have gotten great feedback from our first NO FLY ZONE, and we hope to make our second event even better with new ideas. Our first event sold out, so this is a chance for those that missed out, as well as returning enthusiasts, to get out there and have fun before it starts to get too hot!

This will be another all day event, with 2 of the airports 3 runways closed down for our use. RACE runway is 4900 X 100 ft, utilizing the adjacent connecting taxi-way for the return trip, to ensure only one-way traffic on the runway. PARKING runway area is 2900 X 275 ft of usable tarmac, with plenty of room for all vehicles, toy haulers, sponsors and vendors, as well as event equipment.

This event is a private event, not open to the general public for spectating, but anyone is a welcome to register. Each registered car is allowed 3 crew members to accompany them. Sponsors will be allotted more crew based on need.

I am happy to announce that for the first time, one of our events will be available on LIVE STREAM. We have worked with several people in the area to help provide this, and we are looking forward to utilizing this service for the first time. Being the first time, there may be glitches, camera repositioning and occasional issues, but we have contracted a more-than-sufficient direct internet feed, capable Wi-Fi cameras and a solid uplink and tech service.

There will be 2 camera feeds running from about 8AM-5PM:

Most likely one at the finish line area, and one that will serve as a occasional move-about, near the staging/start line. We are checking on setting up a system that will allow us to stream from a racing vehicle also, whether in car, or externally mounted.

Either way, this is a very cool provision that I hope many can take advantage of and that it runs as well as expected.
