Two amazing gifts from my amazing lady. A bottle of Dom Perignon 2002 and my Opus X Lost City. We had a wonderful time on Saturday night and even more fun when our guest arrived. I had 2 Opus X Lost City. Everyone else had Padron 1926 and 2002, Dom Diego Corona, Romeo Y Juliet, Liga Privada #9 and my girlfriend had a Opus X 77 Shark. Dinner included shrimp and Rib Eye steaks. It made for a wonderful evening.

Here is a couple pics. One of the Opus X. The other after dinner with some guest. Nothing but a casual relaxing evening with great people. Would post more but it was more cigar smoking then photo time.

Happy Birthday, man! Those Arturo Fuente BTLs are delicious. The Padrons too. That's a sweet stash of Single Malts you've got there. Balvenie 12-year doublewood is my standard go-to scotch. Let us know how the Balvenie 30-year is compared to the Macallan 30!

Hey! Happy Birthday JR! Looks like a great time was had by all! Cigars? Scotch? Golf? Are those AB Prensados worthy of their top rating from Cigar Aficionado? About to pull the trigger on a box...

JR...very good cigar. The draw was a little finicky with my box (churchills) but the gran toros I smoked this weekend were fine.

If you like Padrons...try the San Lotano Ovals...great cigar!

46th Birthday Celebration - Day Two/Saturday the 19th

We had dinner @ Texas de Brazil and then headed to Corona Cigar Co. to pick up some goodies...picked up an ST Dupont torch (the best) and a box of Davidoff Anniversary #2 for the night.

A golf buddy of mine and my cousin (right)...REMEMBER this picture...this was the first cigar either one has had...LOL...pretty mild Tabak Especial Cafe Con Leche.

Here is the drink and cigar lineup:

My sweet Davidoff Anniversary #2 ash and my cousin's Tabak...

Poker begins...

REMEMBER my cousin...a Cohiba Behike 52 and several scotches later (he never drank scotch)...he won a big hand and shot the Loser sign to my buddy...but @ about 4am he had lost everything but had a great time.

JR...It was great to see my cousin let loose. He works his **** off and is married...nuff said. Luckily when I got married, my wife new ahead of time my vices...cars, guns, cigars, golf, comic books, and NFL football. Scotch is a recent vice...so she has to adjust.

JR and George...I'm getting in a big order for my new humidor (yes another one)...I'll send over one of each from each box to you guys.

My Padron guy is trying to get some special release Padrons called 1964 Smoke Inn 15th Maduro...it was made specifically for this cigar shop and had really good reviews. No body seems to have them but they have been getting so many requests they may start releasing them...I've staked out 3 boxes...so as soon as I get some...smoke ON!!!!

Padron 1964 Superior Maduro
Padron 1964 Principe Maduro
Padron 1964 Monarcas Maduro
Padron 1964 Imperial Maduro
Padron 1964 Diplomatico Maduro
Padron Family Reserve No.46 Maduro
Padron 1926 Anniversary No.1 Maduro

Just pay it forward!

So cool to find this thread..

Jon, your cigar / humidor combo are unbelievable! I'm humbled but glad to see you enjoying good smokes and good scotch! I use to drink single malt almost exclusively but have been more a bourbon man lately. I still have plenty of single malt in the bar so might have to pour a glass in tribute to your unbelievable cigar collection. My bud has one of those big ice ball makers.. they are very cool!

JohnnyRock, So Cal to MO! Wow man.. talk about culture shock. I've done a little traveling through MO and it is beautiful! BTW, I have an article bookmarked on a guy who turned a Wine Cooler into a Humidor if you interested I'll post a link. Something I've thought of doing for some time.

C280, a little late but looks like you lady did you right on your bday. Dom and a nice cigar.. a guy could do worse for sure!

Myself, I've been ending most Sunday nights with a Cigar and a drink or two. Tonight was no different. After a very active day hiking the La Jolla coast with my better half, I got home and couldn't wait to light a cigar and have a beer and finally relax for a bit. A patient brought me a couple of smokes so I thought I'd try one.

La Diferencia Cubana - A mild smoke but I've had worse. He said they were seasoned in his humidor for about 6 months. Not complex, not too flavorful actually, but mild and smoked ok. I had it with a Stella and actually it wasn't a bad way to end the weekend. You guys have a good week!

BD7, post that thread! I found some old, vintage coolers that just reek of classic coolness, but I'm trying to figure out how to convert them into humidors....I will eventually do a wine cooler, since they usually have glass doors and interior lighting which always set's things off nicely.

BTW, welcome to our world! They guys in here are all very cool and make for great e-friends.

JR, my buddy would kill to have your scotch collection!

Any of you guys drink any Remy Martin Louis Viii? I had my first taste of it several weeks ago...I must say...the shizzle was so smooth and luxurious. I'd break that out only on VERY special occasions...

Only twice but both memorable experiences. Once was comped while playing Baccarat in Vegas.. I was up 8k at the time and playing $500 a hand.. which for me is way up there.. my friend was playing $1k a hand.. he's probably the reason they comped us!
The other time was with a friend before the "fun" started on his bachelor party.. good times.. i think it was like $125 / shot and that was long ago.. not cheap but damn.. Louis XIII is so good, so smooth! I saw you had Macallan 30 on your bar bro! Always wanted to try that. I've had the 15 y/o and the 18 y/o.. both great.. the 30 must be awesome with a good smoke! I can't stop looking at that scotch collection.
