It's always a bummer when a decent scotch is $$$ when you know they've rapped you.. but I still order them . Carpe Diem!

That Opus X Old BBMF is just cool looking. Enjoy you Sunday bro.
Bill...what a great day! Started out @ Tiburon GC @ Ritz Carlton Naples with a Padron 1964 Diplomatico and a round of 76...probably the best round with the driver this year...3 putted 4 times (lag putting sucked) on the back for 41.

Padron 1964 Diplomatico

Then went back home where a buddy of mine picked up 25 lobsters for $5.99 a pound...damn feast that included oysters, clams, ceviche, and red fish.

Smoked a Padron Toro while we waited for the food to get ready...

THEN after dinner I had a Opus X Scorpio Maduro...

Ended up a my bud's house for some smokes, ribs and drinks.. Its cool our ladies love spending time together.. makes it easy to GTG without stress!

Started the evening with a Macanudo 1868 Especial Torpedo. Paired that with a "few" Negra Modelo's

Later while in the Jacuzzi I had a Brick House Corona Larga.. gotta say these are pretty sweet for the price. Didn't get a picture but I paired this with some Crown Royal Black on the rocks. My bud's a blended whiskey drinker but I wasn't disappointed.. quite smooth and flavorful!

^^^Bill the Brickhouse is a good cigar at any price...

But you lost me at..."Its cool our ladies love spending time together"...for some reason the porno music started playing in the background... Ok maybe I'm not that old...

Kidding aside...yes it is great to have friends that have wives or girlfriends that get along. It is usually us buds outside smoking, drinking, and telling fish stories...while the girls are inside deciding where to spend our money and how to hide their purchases from us.

The lobsters were fantastic and you can't beat that price...most of them were a 1 1/2 but that is the right size for the best taste IMHO. Plus there were 25 of them...so I had 4 and I was done...

J

PS Yes...life is good.

^^^ Yeah, my g/f, the seafood queen say the same thing about smaller lobster being better tasting. Plus, you guys got 25 for the price of two or three at Flemings or Ruth Chris.. !!

Yeah, for sure a cool combo for Vegas.. I haven't tried the CR Reserve yet but will report back after I do. I had the CR Black the other day and it was really good. I've drank CR for a long time myself. It's not in my regular rotation anymore but I guess it will be soon. Thanks bro.

^^^ looks like another great weekend Jon!

Just rolled in from Vegas.. stayed a day longer than I planned but woke up Sunday in no condition to drive back to So. Cal. Had more Grey Goose, Belvedere, and Straight Bourbon than any one man should have over the weekend.
I did have a chance to smoke quite a few cigars but only snapped a pic of this one at Casa Fuente in the Caesar Forum Shops.
I paired this AF Chateu Fuente Sun Grown with a Glenmorangie 18 y/o. Over all the bar was very cool. Great latin music, the waitresses were smoking hot and the mojito's were damn goo too. The sticks are of course over priced but I'd go back for sure just cause the place had a great vibe.

Bill...how did you like the Glenmorangie? I've got some special version of Glenmorangie you have to try...

Also...I am hooked up with a lot of Casa Fuente smokes...they have been aging for over a year and should be just right. I'll send you a care package of some...and some other surprises.

Jon

Past two days of golf...

The No.45 kicked my ***...no food and 2 cups of coffee didn't help...enjoyable nonetheless! And the Exclusivo was just smooth and fantastic as usual!

^^ Jon! How you doing brotha??
The glenmorangie was really good. I was drinking Vodka most of the weekend so it was a real shock to my palate at that point. Only took a drink or two to really start to enjoy it. I heard the signet is good but haven't tried it. They also make a good mojito there! haha.
Actually, I know your a coffee drinker.. My lady is a big black (read strong) coffee drinker and she said it was some of the best she's had. I should of asked where they get there beans from but I know they use a French Press to make it..
We gotta meet @ Casa Fuente one of these days bro, drinks on me since you have the longer travel distance!!
Thank you for the care package thoughts.. I cant wait!!

Bill

Bill...doing great...that care package will get out next week. Waiting for some stuff to come in...

Another project...

I tasked a carpenter that my tuner shop uses to build a custom humidor for my Suburban...it'll sit between the second row of captains chairs. It'll have exterior discretely hidden buttons to access 2 hidden compartments that slide out...

The pics below are about 75% completion state...they still have to finalize the LED lighting locations, my Sig Sauer P290 placement, final wiring of the Humi-Care EH Plus Humidifier and cooling fans, and final wiring for the movements of the shelving. I'll post more pics and video of the final install...this project has been more than any of us expected...PITA! However, in the end it will be pretty damn cool...

^^^ holy cow brotha!! that is looking awesome.. correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the burb already have a humidor and pistola locker?? maybe it was a space for a regular humidor and a small fridge right??

you're going above and way beyond with this "little" project bud. The work looks outstanding. Way more involved than I would have ever imagined. The Sig and the Decanter set are looking sweeeet!!! Big thumbs up for undergoing this project.. sets your truck even further apart and makes even more "yours".

Bill you are correct. I had a small humidor on top of a box enclosure hiding a drink chiller. The passive humidifier in the humidor just wasn't enough especially when the Suburban was out and about...the humidity was way too low.

I decided to forego the chiller and make a dedicated humidor and class it up with a scotch decanter. The active humidification and cooling fan setup (but taking the chiller aspect from the previous setup) will hopefully work better...I think it will...we spent enough time thinking about it...

As far as the gun...over the top...yes...but I kind of wanted some secret access for me or my passengers...just in case. I can activate the slide out system via a button in the driver's side or a passenger can do it themselves (if I share with them where the secret button is).

I already have a gun safe in my center console...and the shotgun/AR compartments in the rear storage area...a lot of zombies out there...

Those are some sick pics. That's like having a man-cave in your Suburban. Freaking awesome. Nice Sig, BTW. I have a Walther and was thinking of a Sig Sauer next.

I'll meet up with you guys in Vegas, and can even carpool with Bill, LOL!
