Best ABC rebuilt pump price?

Anyone know who sells the best price and general reliability for rebuilt ABC pumps for our cars? I would rather this than spend for the new $1600 pump.

Do not buy a rebuilt pump. You'll be wasting your money especially when they **** the bed and you have to get the car towed to the nearest shop to install another pump.

My indy told us they only make rebuilds for the 00 - 02 CL/S with ABC, not 03+ (ours is an 02 CL500). He installed a rebuild one and said he's done so for many of his customers and hasn't gotten any back... yet at least lol. Good amount less $ wise and had a better warranty than the new one MB offered (both 1 year, but the rebuild had longer mileage, I believe 20K vs 10K).

Hmmm... interesting. I think the pump design was different for the ABC systems on the '00-'02 year models. The '03+ (mine is an '03 CL) should have rebuild kits for the pump, I thought (the LUK style pump). And I think I also read somewhere the new pump design is suppose to be better than the old LUK style for wear due to the high pressure exit valve design. But cannot be retro'd to the old pump due to the pressures involved.

On my pump, I think the pump itself is OK, but the seals are perished. That I would think should be OK to replace. Bearings though, on the other hand, would be a different story.

I also saw plenty of rebuilt pumps on EBay, but I wouldn't trust those.

Thanks for the link, but it did not specify what the costs and time would be; to have a rebuilt pump shipped to the US.

I would think with the current exchange it can't be much different than just getting a new pump. Also, they did not say (in German) if there was a core charge or not.

thats right, there are a lot of fees and taxes for transfer the parts to USA. but it is the best address in germany for broken ABC systems. they offer a lot of parts which are not available in EPC.

i hope you will find a pump for your car. good luck..:zoom:
