Hood alignment help 2003 CL600

6 Attachment(s)
Hey gang - looking for some help on my wifes CL600 - we bought it recently, so I dont know why its like this, but anyhow check out the pics.

As far as I can tell the hood is not going down low enough to the proper gap height. There is a substantial gap above all headlights and also from the bumper cover to the grill when closed. I see no less than 8 possible adjustment points under there, and before i experiment which will let the hood close further, I turn to you guys!

Any and all info is welcome

Hood looks perfectly aligned. Looks like your bumper and lights are siting too low. Was it in a wreck?

i think it was in some kind of wreck or bender as the radar thing for the cruise control was looking somewhat mickey mouse mounted after a crack. (carfax of course shows no crashes) ugh

if bumper and lights are low, i imagine that is going to be how this car stays forever :) i was hoping since the gap to the lights was on the top that it was level and just the hood was up a hair. thanks for the input and still open to any other thoughts.....

Talk to a good body shop. They will know how to adjust this.

It does look like the hood sits too high, although the fenders and hood line up therefore the poster above is right.

The bumper and everything attached to it seems to be low.

Hello every one, I have a 2003 CL 600 and recently, I locked the hood permanently after removing and reinstalling left and right side hood locks. I forgot to tighten the cable before shutting the food . I have the cooling fan removed and sitting in the trunk; Would it be possible to reach from below to the locks and remove the bolts on hood locks? It is possible to remove bolts on hood locks manually as I had left them very loose. But it is very hard for me to lift the car high enough since it is parked in parking lot. Besides reaching the hood locks from underneath the vehicle, would there be any other option left for me? It has been a month now and car has completely sunk to the ground with the wheels touching the body. I was suppose to tow it today to the garage, but the tow guy told me not to take any chance as I will break some plastic panels or bumper. Can someone please help as I am very confused and not sure what to do.
