Replace your flex disks...

If you get under your car and look at your flex disks, or flexible couplings as others say, and they look like this then replace them. It is bad and you will notice a remarkable smoothness in shifting, acceleration, and highway cruising. This one is my rear one off my '05 CL55 with 104k miles. I was going to replace both but one of them was the wrong part. Luckily after taking off the front and inspecting it, it did not appear to have any cracks like this so I put the new one on front since it was the more difficult one to remove and switched front to rear until I can get the right one. It was actually more work than anticipated but I went a shop that rents its bays by the hour and put it on a lift. It would've been miserable trying to do that laying on my back with it just sitting on jack stands.

Just out of curiosity what is the issue with URO? Just poor quality? I have no experience with any of their products.

The Febi's are fine. MB sources them as OE in many cases and pops them in a Mercedes branded box.

Febi is what I used. Still need to replace the rear since I had one the wrong size. Earlier today I had a little skirmish with a Lancer Evo and won. My car was silky smooth at 120 mph for the very brief time it was up there. It wouldn't have been before. Typically I'd never engage in that but the guy was super cocky and my car was feeling good.
