2001 cl600 ABC fluid leak

Had a look through the ABC problem thread but couldn't really find anything related to my problem. Had the ABC warning come on so checked fluid level and was low. Noticed a leak from under front of emgine the following day so took the car inside for a better look. When the car is running there is no noticeable leak but as soon as I turn off the engine the leak starts and carries on for a good few minutes. Am looking at pumps as from similar posts they seem a common problem and not too difficult to change.
Any advice would be appreciated. Great forum.

Gotta find the leak. It isn't just the pump, but if you leave it low it will ruin the pump too.

Haven't had a chance to pull covers from underneath so hard to see where the leak is coming from, will get a chance later in week. Was just curious if the leak after turning off the engine pointed to something seen before. The dripping is coming from the general area of the pump. Temperature dropped here in houston to 35deg one morning and 40 for another couple, that's when leak started. Not normal temperature for us. Thanks.

I would check the feed hose from the reservoir to the pump, as it's under suction when running and shouldn't leak, but maybe when you turn it off and the fluid builds up, it runs out. Also, could be failed accumulators, that are allowing too much fluid drop/rise when going from running to not.

Thanks Joe. Will start removing covers and give area around resovoir & pump a good degrease, not much room to see anything at the moment.

more likely leaking from hose by the pump
