Lightbulb How To connect your aftermarket stereo

Let's make it quick

The alixpress sellers lie to you and tell you that you need a fiberoptic decoder to keep your fiberoptic amp connection
yes, you would, but as it is a D2B and not MOST protocol you can't decode that, their 99$ box won't work

what I did is I bought a 2017 5 channel amp 4 x mono + automatic woofer output

I did not want any of their crappy antennas so I connected everything to stock
TV
GPS
and radio

Radio is to connect in the front with a adapter they give you with the radio

GPS is also in the front
just cut the stock plug and solder the radio gps antenna plug

HD terrestrial tv box has two antennas
cut the wires (they are long and do the job to the front ) of the two antennas and connect them to the trunk antennas ( car has 4 )

so black and red to one cable
yellow and blue to the other cable
after tests that works the best when you drive and move

now for the amp it's very standard

just RCA 2 x stereo from the front to the trunk new amp
then cut the following wires as they go to the speakers
On the big plug, cut of these

front left = green /green brown second = always - Negativ
rear left = pink / pink brown
front right = black / black brown
rear right = white / brown
Subwoofer = Blue / blue brown

gray white / green white is a extra mono speaker 'not to use in this config)

all the other wires are useless

you have to use a amp with crossover filtering like mine
mine is FOCAL FPX 5.1200
this because the front speakers can't take all bass frequencies

have fun !

Your car is D2B, but later cars, like mine, are MOST.

Great info! Does each quadrant include the multiset speakers?

in my SL I have a center channel, a sub, 2 speakers in each door and two little tweeters in each seatbelt... I suspect the doors are one channel each seatbelt tweeter are a channel, the center channel is 1 and the sub is also 1

Thoughts? Also do you happen to remember what the impedance of your speakers were?

depending on the version, you will have some speakers hocked up with a filter in the door
you just hook the whole stuff up from the original amp location as I did
make sure you use the crossover filter settings on the amp, to cut off bass on those front speakers
this amp has some power so be careful to not blow the front. there is also a little total power preset device
best is to set max limit
that way you won't have a retard turning the volume full up and blow your speakers

don't worry about the ohms, the amp takes both

this amp is the top of the top

I am about to switch to that also and also don't want to move any buttons
I found some 11" ultra wide while ago. wide instead of high
can't find any now but search
then
don't forget that the connection on this one below and all others is just a plate mount with a hole, letting a wire pass with a plug
so my Idea was, first try the radio upside down , middle attachment point seems not to be centered.
then, other possibility would be to adapt a little plate

example radios I target are here:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001223737884.html

even on this system you could make a adapter plate as it always is one wire bundle running

you mean like just to install it vertically instead of horizontal.. yeah i like the concept of these radios as the face swivels-11 inch wide should be enough to cover the hole .. i got a trim from an s500 i was going to start working with .so i can cut it up and see what it looks like after the the 3 holes have been cut out to make the 2 din hole
