CL500 rear brakes

Hello all, I'm a new member and new (to me) owner of a 2005 CL500. I want to change the rear brake pads and rotors, and every other car I've done this on was a fairly simple procedure. So I bought the Mitchell1 DIY online manual and am now baffled regarding what is required. Do I need to detach the SBC unit with a STAR tool? Do I need to rotate the parking brake shoes, and if so how and when do I do that? Do I really need to open the bleed screws when doing this? Do I need to bleed the brakes afterward? I never would've thought just changing the rear brakes could be so complicated.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have STAR and didn't do any of that
just do evrything like a regular car

maybe if the cable is to short you should go for the tensioner under the car
but most likely nothing at all

You don't have SBC.
