that radio won't work on this car or you'll have to re-wire and switch amp
first find out if you have a D2B or MOST digital amp
then, if D2B, you'll have to replace the amp with a more recent w215 bose 2004+ amp doing MOST
once done you need a MOST decoder box

Or,
you can buy any 5-channel amp and replace the Bose amp in the trunk (driver side). All the speaker leads are there and it's easy to wire the amp in. Best to run a new power wire direct from the battery, however, and I highly recommend a new subwoofer (in a box) rather than try to use the existing one (it works but it's puny). The hard part is running one or two RCA input cables from the new head unit through the car, into the trunk, and connecting to the new amp. It's easy once you see that there is entry to the trunk where the rear shocks mount under the rear window; it's just a matter of hiding the cables to there.
You're essentially changing out the system from MB-whatever-datalink to a conventional one. Your steering wheel buttons won't work (although you can buy a module that does this). New head units have Bluetooth etc and your phone will work just fine for once :-)

I have a Pioneer DD APP radio in mine and the car is an 03 and there was no amp change. Still running factory Bose speakers and amps. Dont know where they got the harness from or if they spliced it but it works.
