Yes but you have to change all of the units that is has. Navigation system is the biggest as it changed in 2003. The HVAC controls as well. Basically you want the interior to look post face lifted instead of pre face lifted. You will also need to find the matching wood bezel as well.

i already found wood bezel include buttons for 2003 and 8" doubledin android multimedia. Hvac controls are same. So i dont think i have problem about navigation and hvac controls.
the only thing that makes me wonder is center button connections.

Check and see if everything is plug and play. If not then you will need the new harness adaptors.

I think the buttons changed networks And are not interchangeable but someone more experienced will know. One generation used d2b and one used MOST if i remember correctly

D2B and MOST refer to the fiber optics...not the buttons.

the wiring coming off of these top row of control buttons seem fairly simple, i doubt there is any special kind of setup for retrofitting facelift buttons, i think it would mostly be plug n play after doing some splicing. it seems most of the switches have two wires, and any switch that has a light has three wires..seems fairly straight forward. would love to know more as i want to also upgrade someday

I make it u need change one plug but buttons work only in one way u can turn it on but to turn it off u need to off ignition

i saw your post on facebook, nice work. but what do you mean exactly about the buttons only turn on and not off? i dont have ABC anymore so im sure this isn't a huge problem for me?

or do you mean hazards, ESP and such wont turn off anymore?

Artmanbdg 03-17-2019 12:21 PM

U can turn off Esp and Pdc but u need off ignition to turn it on :)

ctravis595 03-19-2019 12:12 PM

these cars are more fun with ESP turned off anyways :)

thanks for the info, ill definitely add the facelift retrofit to my list of things to-do on my car. my wood trim for the center console is one of the favorite i have seen for w215/220 but it has some cracks in the clearcoat, plus my 2002 radio/nav is outdated and the screen is developing a strange tarnish that ive not been able to remove

Murat Aktas 03-25-2019 11:13 AM

Unfortunately, as Artmanbdg said, the buttons are working one way. curtain goes down but does not go up, ABS works one way too.
so I'm going to cut my own old console for the new music system.

ctravis595 03-25-2019 01:03 PM

I’m just confused why the switches would only work one way, are we overlooking something ?

Murat Aktas 03-25-2019 04:10 PM

I dont know but mercedes service told me it is about sam module. Working principles are different.

corte 04-13-2019 02:53 PM

did anyone find a working solution to this or is cutting the only way?

Love the Android radio with the factory look.

hey guys i responded on facebook but not sure you'll see it

today i picked up the 2003 radio and center console, do you remember how to wire up the top row of buttons? mine didn't come with any harnesses so i will have to hardwire my connections
