2009 Mercedes-Benz CL500 Anniversary Edition

For those of you who don’t know, Mercedes-Benz is celebrating this year its centenary and revealed today an exclusive edition of the CL Coupe.

The new vehicle comes with the designo metallic graphite paint finish but also with the new AMG sports package with new front and rear aprons, side skirts and sports pedals of brushed stainless steel with black rubber studs, plus painted brake callipers with Mercedes-Benz lettering. Also, 20-inch 5 twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels painted in titanium grey are available for this edition. Inside, the interior features hand-stitched designo aniline leather with contrasting seams in a light sand colour, wood/leather steering wheel, shining black piano lacquer trim and anthracite Alcantara roof lining. Under the hood we have the same engine found on the standard CL500, capable to deliver 388 hp (285 kW) and equipped with all the new features of model year 2009. The new “100 years of the trademark” model will be available from 26 June as the CL 500 and CL 500 4MATIC and the extra price for this edition is 17,850 Euro incl. 19% German VAT

2010 CL65
Markopolo, thx for posting

Guess this car will cost ~$125K

Seems like an awful value vs 600 or 65....tq and brakes are kinda important

Like you, have done my "tour" of CL line-up; would argue 65 is best value (even among a group of simply amazing cars like 600 and 63 030)

If counting pennies, would $0-down, 3 yr lease a '10 CL65 this Fall; drive it until all-new CL65 arrives...and roll into another such lease...life's too short to ever drive underpowered/underbraked cars once addicted to 738 lb-ft

Well,
Certainly there is a reason why the price difference between CL550->CL600/63->CL65 is $50k (more or less)between each car.
Some people can only spend as much, some choose to ignore it (even having the $), some don't give a shi#t.
As they say - you always get what you paid for

CLK63 BS, 997tt
agreed, from an underpowered cl63 owner do agree with WSH that $24k for these cosmetic mods is a challenging value proposition

Does anyone know of delivery issues with the '010's?

My friend and neighbor ordered a a new '10 cl with Designo and AMG and a few other goodies in Feb and has had 3 delivery pushbacks so far- latest is Feb of '10, original date was Sept '09. Was told recently that MB needs minimum of 15 orders in US to make run. Is this possible? $130K+ car, took his S class and old CL in trade (they did deliver his second MB on time in Sept but non-CL). He is getting ready to cancel. Is MB's story possible that they hane not sold 15 cars so can't do the run?
