CL63 AMG ABS and ESP Inoperative
Hi folks,
has anyone ever experienced this error message? I have a feeling it might be down to a problem with one of the dampers.
Also does anyone have a really good reliable supplier of CL63 OEM Parts without paying dealer prices?
Many thanks,
Ross.

Out Of Control!!
You have a serious issue with your braking system---get it look at quickly, regarding parts-----you drive an AMG if you can't afford to buy the proper parts have your girlfriend get a second job if not sell the car!!

don't confuse affordability with value! Parts for a discontinued model should always be written down. I drive Ferrari's and Porsches as well as my urban express CL63 AMG so I know the difference.

Any update on this issue.
Had this error message twice yesterday. When I turned the car on got this message ... put in drive and moved forward it went away - screen message and lit symbols. Usually I have to press the okay button to clear screen messages and the lit symbols remain lit. Car performed fine. Car sat overnight, no messages this morning?

Like your case this message disappeared and did not come back. The local dealership said that it was either a fault in the hydraulic control unit or with the power steering pump as the two are interconnected. In any case the fault went away and has not re-appeared. It may have been the result of high ambient temperature as it can hit 50 degrees C in the summer months. I hope that this helps.

When I got this message the problem manifested itself similar to yours in that the steering became very heavy.
I hope that this helps you?

The problem never came back but I do have a noisy power steering pump although reading up on this it seems to be a common problem that can also be attributed to the AC Compressor pulley bearing? Having read the various threads on this it can be remedied by changing the power steering fluid out and keeping the level high. There is also a filter in the power steering reservoir that needs to be replaced.

Genuinely appreciate your response sir....Well heres my situation in details...
1. switch on car
2. drive out
3. drive a bit fast
4. lights turn on saying "ABS and ESP inoperative see owners manual" then "run flat indicator inoperative"..I feel like there was some other one relating to the parking guidance as well
5. steering gets really stiff on slow speed, especially when parking and noise comes up.
6. seek help
so with that being said...I should consider getting the power steering fluid changed and the power steering filter replaced ?
I did hear a lot about the ESP sensor going bad and costing a fortune...someone had some dust on the speed sensors and had them cleaned so it worked but then the ESP went bad later on.
However, I dont see how its related to the AC compressor pulley
nonetheless...how was yours sorted out ? did it go away on its own or you got some stuff done to it ?
Hope your noise from the pump gets well and is sorted out on its own
Thanks

Mine went away on its own and did not come back. I have brought the car back home to the UK and it is going to an independent MB specialist for a service and to look into the engine noise - power steering pump or AC Compressor? Hopefully they will get to the bottom of it.
I'm bout to roll in tomorrow to get it checked out...lets hope for the best...I'll update you when they let me know
other than that how long did it take you to ship it to the UK ? was it easy to get the LHD vehicle registered there ?
Thanks
