Looking to buy a CL, questions...
I have been lurking for at least 8 months, attempting to learn about the CL. Now it looks like I'm ready to buy a 2005 CL55. I drove one yesterday (wow!)and and have some basic questions that I'm hoping some of you can help..
1) So I'm wondering what a good price to pay for an '05 CL55 with less than 10K miles, loaded with options. What's a good deal? What percentage of the original cost would make sense to use as a basis?
2) The front right tire was a bit low on air. The guy was claiming that we shouldn't inflate it because it should be done automatically (note this fellow is selling the car for his friend, some woman). This sounds crazy, not being able to inflate a friggin tire. Somebody tell me this is not the case, please?
Any other advice that would help me make a sound purchase. I know from this board that some of these CLs have continual problems. How can I better assure that the one I purchase is not an on-going headache?
Thanks ahead of time.

what is this dude talking about?!!
The CL is a pretty reliable car. Of course the people with problems will vent more... but you should be fine... you have a long warranty anyway. I wouldn't worry about it.
What options does this car have? what is the color combo?
Options are:
Tire Pressure Monitoring system. (TPS)
Keyless Go
Parktronic
Distronic
Trunk closer
If you don't know how to look for these let me know. Otherwise everything else is standard on this car.
Brilliant Silver/Charcoal. It has all the options except perhaps parktronic and distronic. I presume these 2 are for location proximity thing for parking?
The asking price is 86% of the claimed original new price. This is way too high to my mind but what is a better percentage?

Silver/charcoal, according to Edmunds, will bring in highest resale value. Distronic is radar based cruise control, it is a $2400 option. Parktronic is proximity parking sensors. The car has the rest I assume? Sounds like a nice car honestly...
