SL55 AMG Black on Berry Red
the nose looks new, the middle part of the car has the lines of the CLS, and the rear looks like the new S-class. i have to get used to it some more. i first thought CLS was so ugly but now it's really grown on me. probably same with the new CL.

I usually have an instant connection with Mercedes. I loved the All the current models since day one. I love the New CLS and S class from day one. This CL however does not give me the satisfaction im so used to. I dont hate it but i definetely dont like it. I favor the Older CL. This CL looks confused.
I give it a 4 out of 10 on looks alone when comparing to the older CL.

i have always been a fan of the CL but i'm still not a big fan of the new taillights though.
is it only my eyes or does the front end looks quite boxy if you look at it from the side (especially in the 1st pic)? it seems that the mercedes star on the grille is held upright.
overall, it looks good. i exceptionally like the shape of it in the 4th pic.

I know I am in the minority when I say, "Looks Like Poo"...
The rear window is terrible.
I am still going to give the new W216 a fair shake and take a look at it in person, but I doubt it will match the current W215 class when it comes to classic style.

in general i think it looks pretty ugly compare to the old CL, but the AMG version of it would make it look a little better. the new S-Class with 20s looks awesome compare to the CL. saw a silver one today with black rims on the 118 to the 210.

And it looks rather small to me. In person it should be a true battleship, but in these pictures you could also convince me it is the new CLK...

I really want to like this car but UGH those rear lights just get more horrible every time I see them. At least the S-class ones look mean, the CL just screams Acura RL.

theres no doubt about it, that it is going to be a really nice car...however the current one just looks better to me..i don't feel that bad now that i am going to have a previous generation cl...w215 is sexy, this one is a bit bulky and im still against those wheel arches..

Pics have not done justice to the CLS and many other nice cars out there - I haven't seen this car in person and no one here has either - I am waiting to see one in person before making a final judgement on it's looks

Well, I have not seen one in metal but this sure looks awfully good to me. It is a big coupe and as someone mentioned the AMG kit will kick it up another notch. It, like the S550, is a standout in both image and quality and should be in high demand come Fall.

This happens every single time a new vehicle comes out.... Geez, just say you like it and get the adaptation over with. As the image of this vehicle is ran through your brain more and more, you are going to start liking it. As the AMG body comes, you will like it even more. Before you know it, they will be on the road and the 215 chassis is going to look dated...
I wonder how many said they couldn't stand the new 220/215 chassis, and claimed the 140 to be a better looking car.. In 2006 the 140 looks like an antique.

i will wait to see it in person..but in the pics it looks less than the current one..i shouldnt have to get used to it to like it...when i see say a lambo i immediately love it..when i saw the w215 i knew it was for me..same with cls..saw the pics thought it was something i wouldnt be into and when i saw it in person that was confirmed..
