Yes this is a factory option for 2003 on the CL55. The dealer will not add it after the build however. It has to be added during the factory put together.

Unlike past CL55 model years, I believe that the tire pressure monitoring system is available on the 03 CL55. I have it on my 02 CL500 and decided not to get it on my 03 CL55 because while it is quite accurate and easy to check pressures, mine started showing an eror or more specifically a reset message lately. It is easy enough to reset the system, but a nuisance nonetheless. It may be that when pressure differential among the tires is too high or if pressure from the last drive's readings is very different from a cold start that the system gives the reset message. I have not had it checked at the dealer lately, but they did check it six months ago and found no problem. The difference in pressures between a cold car and one that has ben driven for a half hour or more can be more than a few pounds. The monitor is instructive when you leave it on in a long exit ramp or corner. The outboard tire pressures increase by 1 or 2 lbs. If it is an aggressive turn they increase more. Also quite noticeable is the drop in pressures in Boston winters when the car is cold. This is when I first got a reset reading.

The transmitter/sensor is located in the wheel. So technically you can probably change them to another wheels, HOWEVER, the calibration will be off and more than likely register incorrect pressures. Mercedes says it won't work.
