So, I have a 2001 996 C2 that I'm looking to trade in for an '03 CL 55. Anyone have any personal pictures of the CL 55. Any allocation information for the NYC area? The M3 has become my toy taking the place of the Porsche. And I'm also in the next year going to be turning in my '00 S500 for an S55. Never have owned an AMG, but I am certainly looking forward to it Thanks all.

Oh, to introduce myself. My name is Dave and I'm a full time student (sophmore) at Columbia University and I trade stocks while being bored in lectures I am quite young, but I am, as they say, wise beyond my years.

With huge lecture halls, and two laptops with wireless internet access, I set up shop in the rear of the rooms and have streaming quotes on one monitor and a link to my broker on the other. The past few months I've been taking it easy and micromanaging penny stocks I love buying a stock at .02 and selling at .03. It's a real feeling of accomplishment. Most of my money now is in rollover and mutual funds, although they are barely keeping pace. No wonder I have a dozen gray hairs already

2003 CL55
Dave
Won't have personal pictures of 03 CL55 until I take delivery in late Feb or early March, but the 03 brochures are available at dealers. I ordered mine in August. If you have bought new MB's, your dealer should be able to give you a good estimated build date. The ABC is quite different from the 996's suspension. My 02 996 C4S was far more fun to drive than my 02 CL500 Sport. There is really no direct comparison, as the cars are so different in concept, but the MB's ABC is a remarkably good system. The big advantage of a CL is that it does not attract the attention on the road that a 996 does.

I don't think you are giving up a whole lot in performance either.

It Varies
Hey,

I will have pictures of my CL55 in about a month. Im taking delivery on it December 15th. There is no doubt that the Porsche probably has more driver to car connection, however the new CL55 will definitely be something special. Straight line acceleration, it will toy with the porsche. Along with the refinement, luxury, and safety of the Mercedes im sure it will be a great decision.

I will give you a detailed review in just a short while, all I can say is that I cant wait!!!

Hope this helps,

Andrew

Sounds good. The Porsche is an amazing vehicle with handling that is unparalleled by any other production car, in my opinion. However, the CL is just so gorgeous and so powerful. And I think it is about time to get some Forced Induction in the garage.
